The world's first public gallery dedicated to the art of illustration, from animation to adverts, picture books to political cartoons and scientific drawings to fashion design. Visitors can take part in workshops, listen to talks and discover interactive films.

September 2017: fabulous show on urban backgrounds in Japanese anime ! So well curated!
Small exhibitions but plenty of work from well known illustrators such as Quentin Blake and Mac Conner have been held here.
Nice small exhibition of Quentin Blake 's illustrations of the BFG. (til 2nd October 2016)
The cost for an adult is reduced to £3.50 when the main exhibition is closed whilst it's changed.
