National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific

We only made a brief drive through it on a bus tour , but it's a beautiful memorial that possesses a quiet calm that's as haunting as it is serene. There's a lookout that has the best view of Honolulu .

Best views of Honolulu while you go up the hill .. Its best while you walk down the hill .. Not easy to stop the car while coming down ..

The Lady Columbia statue is breathtaking. And if you walk up the stairs you'll see inscribed dedications to each of the war's vets along with a beautiful chapel.

Go to the lookouts up the top of the mountain , you get the best view of the south side of the island there!

Well kept cemetery with lots of history. Walk to the look out for scenic views . No paths to walk back down to down town .

I wonder where the Senator Daniel Inouye is buried. Ellison Onizuka (Challenger), the Big Island astronaut is here somewhere. Huge military burial grounds here, complete with American flags.

Found just off the main road on the right as you exit up close to the main memorial for the unknown. May his memory be eternal.

From the far side of the cemetery , walk up the trail to the makai (ocean) side of Punchbowl for panoramic views of Honolulu .
