Dedicated in 1913, this is a tribute to the more than 260 Americans who died when the battleship Maine exploded in the Havana, Cuba, harbor in 1898.
The monument was sculpted by Attilio Picarelli in 1913. This monument was raised in honor of the 260 U.S. soldiers who lost their life in the Battle Ship Maine in February 15, 1888 in Habana, Cuba.
