Nashville Public Library

One of Nashville's true treasures. Although it's less than a decade old, it feels like someplace historical. Stunning architecture and helpful staff . Check out the Nashville Room! Awesome exhibits too

gorgeous, huge library ! great kids section (whole 2nd floor) + theater w/ lots of kids events ! puppet shows are amazing... beautiful outdoor courtyard ... coffee shop on main level.

The most beautiful building (inside) in Nashville. Eat lunch in the courtyard . Stop buying magazines and use the periodicals room. The chairs are made for reading/study. Civil Rights room = powerful

Not only does this library make reading fun, they offer free lunchtime concerts , music petting zoo (thanks Nashville Symphony), art exhibitions , and Pulitzer Prize winner author talks.

Very nice library . The art exhibits change, so come back occasionally for different things.

Awesome spacious library , but hold your breath while you walk past the bathrooms ; they stink!

Storytime is fantastic and free, parking is free under 1 1/2 hrs, and they have a great courtyard to read in. Spend a day here!

PLEASE check out the Civil Rights exhibit upstairs, including the diner circle, large photographs and video room. Brilliant.

May be the only public art or cast doors to depict possums , catfish and a snake. Only in Tennessee. This artist is also responsible for Musica and the Athena statue at Nashville's Parthenon.

A Wealth of knowledge is an understatement, and the customer service before closing hours is pretty good as well .
