Very good marketing ploy that actually works! You visit and you are given free complimentary pineapple pastry and tea . After trying you get enthusiastic or ridden with guilt to buy a box of pastry !
When you walk in, you're greeted with smiling faces and if you don't want to order a box of cakes immediately, you'll be directed to the "sampling" area. Enjoy the free sample of pineapple cake & tea
A cup of tea and a free sample pineapple cake for everyone who comes into SunnyHills. The spot for Japanese visitors. Would be better if they play some music when customers enjoy their free sample .
Favorite Taiwanese pineapple cake because it's sour and not as sweet as others. Come on in for a complimentary piece and a cup of tea . Great hospitality and clever marketing .
very popular, though imo not as good as chia te. however, definitely worth a visit b/c their facilities are adorable and they always give you a free pineapple cake and cup of tea .
Famous Pineapple Cake in Taiwan . The more sour type. Wonder in for a free seat, free piece of pineapple cake and free refill of Chinese tea . Great atmosphere, they aren't pushy at all so just enjoy!
If you’re hoping to order tea with their famous pineapple cakes , think again! Customers are seated & presented with a single portion (sample) of cake with tea (refillable). Purchase expected, I think.
Oh my god. What a concept. Walk in and get a free pineapple cake and a cup of hot tea . Walk out if you want, or buy a box of cakes for later. You probably will. That’s how they win.
(5/5) More old-school pineapple cake than you'll find elsewhere. That means less sweet, a bit more tart , a lot more pineapple , and is great toasted and with tea . Sit down for a free sample !
Greeted by friendly staffs for a cup of tea + a piece of pineapple tart for free. The tart is nice - less sweet & you can taste a bit of sour (the kind of tart I likes). 10pcs/box at NTD420 ????
Seriously good pineapple cake . By far my favourite - not too sweet, but flavorful and the crust is nice and buttery. Bonus that it's organic too.
real pineapple in the pie although bit sour. NTD42 each but valuable if u like pineapple . impressive service, free taste with nice woolong tea .
Beautiful space, wonderful service, and complimentary pineapple cake with tea to see if you want to purchase a box of 10.
Bonus point for stylish decir and free sample (traditional tw tea and pineapple cake ). Taste slightly sour and natural flavor. Healthy but not always tasty, personal opinion.
I thought it was great that they let you sample the pineapple cake with their tea before you buy. However you can’t sample the honeycake.
One of few genuinely great Taiwanese companies with awesome branding and product. Enter their store and you will be greeted with smile and free 鳳梨酥 and tea .
I prefer their pineapple shortcake because it has more citric flavor compare to chia de's . Also I like their pastry to pineapple proportion. It's perfect.
Classy deco, great service, lovely tea n pineapple cake to enjoy on the spot. Great service.
Complimentary pineapple tart and tea . This store is slightly smaller than the one in Kaohsiung.
They have great service and the food is really good ????????????
Best pineapple tarts I've had in Taiwan. The pineapple filling is generous, not overly sweet and has a good texture.
You will get a tea and a pineapple cake . Service is quite good. But if you are children , you will get a cup of water instead the tea .I am a kid , what a pity !
Combination of hot tea and pineapple tart is amazing!!! And the first set of sample is free!!!!
Pineapple cakes are more tart than what i'm used to, but still tasty. Pleasant and cosy atmosphere to chill for half n hr
Beautiful shop. Worth the trip to sit and have a pineapple cake and tea (for free).
A bit out of the way, but worth the visit. You get a sample pineapple cake and green tea .
A stylish pineapple cake shop which will serve you free tea and pineapple cakes whether you buy from them or not
Pineapple cakes here stand out for having great filling to bread ratio and delicious texture.
Great to know you are eating real food. They are environmentally friendly and super cute .
free sample of pineapple tart and ice brewed tea during summer! their tea is really good!
sit down and taste the pineapple cakes for free before buying
Best ever ! Bit expensive but worth for all :) should buy!
Serve free pineapple cake and tea in the shop. Can relax a bit before making the purchase. :)
So simple and calm in here. Everyone has the same tea and pineapple cake .
Friendly staffs and tasty pineapple cake !
I personally don't like this type of pineapple cake as much. But the sample is definitely very nice.
Gorgeous modernist space. Invited in to sit for a free sample and cup of tea .
stop by for a complimentary pineapple cake & tea - no purchase necessary
Complimentary pineapple cake and tea .
Come in serve you a pineapple tart and tea . Just like a cafe
Considered one of the best pineapple cakes in Taiwan .
Traditional pineapple cake baked in a creative way :)
A bit sour but still love it
Pineapple juice also tasty
Make perfect souvenirs for people from out of town . A box of 10 tarts is 350
I love the tea they give and how that this pineapple cake isn't too sweet...
Pineapple cakes , free sample , tea
This place was very good when it first came out, but they certainly changed the ingredients n recipe. Huge disappointment. Never buy from them anymore.
Free tea and pineapple cake whether you purchase a box or not!
Maybe this version is better than the airport/export/for HK and SG version
Best traditional bakery in town ! Pineapple cakes and 奶黃小月餅 are my favourite. Just be aware that they go stale quickly (advised to be 6 days for some pastries) - Cannis Chan
matcha croissant and black tea bagel are surprisingly good :) - cellwall
Amazing view! Going up is so fast, but there's a long que for coming down. Try Taiwan beer with Mango ice cream in it???? - Victoria Huh
