Authentic food, wonderful atmosphere, and good service . Takeout is convenient if you want something fast. Large portions , enough for two meals. Recommend the chicken chole .
My faves: Chicken Tikka Masala (tender chicken in a tom cream sauce ) or Saag (spin/tom/cream sauce) served over saffron rice w/peas; garlic nan ! For the unadventurous, chicken tandoori is a sure bet!
Fish Tikka tandoori is the bomb.com literally. Literally! And the kheer is the perfect desert light and delicious (I don't normally like deserts )
Ambar is one of my go-to restaurants when visiting Cincinnati. Best Indian food in the area!
One of the best Indian restaurants . We have been eating here for years. I love it!!
Love this place but don't order a soda . They prepour them into a pither so they're always flat. Other than that this place rocks. The lamb vindaloo is my favorite.
A fun game to play here is to count how many "Gift Certificates Available" signs you can find. We found 8.
My fave Indian food EVER! And a consistently good choice in Cincinnati. I'm in love with the rice !!
Best. Ever. Anywhere. Chicken tikka masala , lamb vindaloo , saag paneer ... it's ALL amazing.
$6 off for dinner and $3 off for lunch coupons in City Beat. Look in the dining section. Need a City Beat? There's a box on the sidewalk in front of CVS Pharmacy , 1/2 block north across from Middleton.
Best Indian restaurant in Cincinnati hands down!
I definitely recommend the lamb curry . I like spice and got a five it was good but feel like I could have gotten a six and had a great time
Dedicated parking lot in back but extremely small and tight...much easier to park in the parking lot behind IGA and have your ticket validated (free if under an hour) or find parking on the street.
The saag paneer is excellent.
The best Lamb Vindaloo in town .
Try my favorite: Saag Paneer , spice level six & mix in some of the mango onion chutney . Delicious with garlic Naan .
Hands down the best Indian food in America.
Some of the best Indian food I have had in the a long time! Try the Lamb Saag ! Read more
Empty when I went but I enjoyed the lunch buffet .
the samosas we got were good but didn't seem made fresh. we're clearly microwaved. I was eh on everything else. not bad but not great vs places I've had in nyc.
Service isn't the best in the land, but they will at least keep your water full! Chicken Curry #4!!
Go to Bearcash.com and print off coupons before you go! During the warmer months, coupon books are available on the street.
Chicken curry
Go to Ambar's order just about anything, experience the best Indian this side of the pond .
Masala ,baryani shrimp ,
Order the Chicken Tikka Masala with a naan and a cold Indian beer .
Prompt service , even better food.
Don't let the big guy wait on you. He can't deliver bread or plates without holding then down with his thumb on the way to the table. I've been watching him do this for years. Gross as heck.
Get the Lamb Rogan Josh.
I've never been rushed out of a restaurant so quickly when they weren't busy. Disappointed. :-(
The ambiance is amazing! Most Indian looking restaurant in Clifton. Just love the saag and bharta! Patio seating BYOB what else do u need! - Yash Pawar
Great for takeout, especially for UC students. Highly recommend the chana chat. - Hannah Luddy
Best Indian food in Cincy. They tend to be about 1 level spicier than most others for the same spice-level number. 4 (out of 6) is a great medium-hot. - David Schwab
The Mocha Chocolate Chip flavor will be placed on the list of Dangerous&Controlled Substances after the Ice Cream Czar has been appointed. - DocTomDotCom @soundentistry
Small theater that features many independent films. Has a local, cozy feel. - R B
Best place. Comfy and good coffee( I drink latte or hot chocolate though) - Vonte Andrews
