4-8 every Wednesday. Great produce, cheese , organic meats , pastries -- even wine . Get your goods, then grab a drink at Cafe Flore.
Such a great farmer's market . So many great stands to choose from. My favorite is the fish guy. They will shuck oysters right there at the stand for you to enjoy.
Get here early before the crowd hits, it's more enjoyable. I stop by weekly to see what's fresh and in season. Stopping by weekly has reinvigorated my meals.
Nice selection of booths . Much preferable to being in a store. Roti is the bomb Pakistani and plenty of veggie booths .
Want to help support the local economy and make Wednesday that much more special? - stop by the Castro Farmers Market - where good things are!
Nice venue and good selection of produce and foods, despite the small size of the market .
The guys at East and West Gourment Afghan food are nice and friendly . Stop by their table for a few samples, and while you're at it, buy some low-carb spinach bolani !
Be sure to get there near to 4pm. The produce starts to slack pretty quickly
About August, be sure not to miss Rainbow Ranch's stall (right up near Market St.) for excellent blueberries at an amazing price. Read more
The farmers are awesome and the produce so flavorful. Especially if you meet someone who knows how to cook.
They have really great produce and give out samples
Super tasty and great prices for leafy greens.
Love this block long farmers market . When cherry tomatoes are in season, you MUST BUY!!!!
Dogs are a no-no apparently, but they have a nice dog drop-in area near the corner of Beaver St. that your pooch is sure to love while you shop.

awesome fruit & nut stand, savory french baked goods (not hot, however), and tasty honeys .
Totally agree on the tomatoes btw. They are ridiculously good. I eat them as snacks instead of, sat, oreos . Seriously, they're better.
Don't go home without some oranges ! The best!
