A pinsa may be a flat bread topped with cheese , cured meat and tomato sauce , but it isn’t pizza . Regardless, the simple margherita pinsa highlights the yeasty dough . Read more
Authentic spot in a sketch area! You will be served "pinsa 's" not pizza . Essentially a pizza on a pita like flat bread . Roman style and v. unique. Would recommend trying as it is something different.
Delicious flatbread "pinsas " similar to pizza tucked away on an alley off 6th street. Total hidden gem in this rough neighborhood . Amazing sandwiches and cured meats + friendly Italian staff .
The pinsa collatina is simple, the right amount of salty, and has a satisfyingly chewy crust .
Just went here the other night and loved it! Charming and authentic . Plus, they don't serve pizza , they serve pinsa , which is an easier-to-digest flatbread meaning you can eat MORE OF IT.
Amazing pizzas . We had the Margherita , portonaccio. Delicious unique pies. Their espresso is great too, it comes with whipped cream which makes so delicious. Terrible location.
Feels like an authentic Roman trattoria, with delicious pinsas and produce and friendly Italian staff .
Loved it! The decor feels like Italy. The pinsas are light and flavorful. Perfect pre-show meal.
Love their pizzas . Haven't been disappointed by any of them! The burrata and anchovy appetizer is incredible as well
They serve pizza (which they call something else). One pizza will feed one medium sized grown adult man. The sausage is delicious.
Everything!!! And they now have my favorite appetizer.. Prosciutto e Melone ! Mmmh!
Montesacro (can get chillies on the side) and the pork cheek pinsa were delicious and a great combo.
Every Pinsa we have had is delicious. If you’ve ever been to Italy you’ll feel at home at Montesacro.
Any pinsa . If they have the multi cheese and prosciutto special, get that. It's amazing. Drinks are normal. Get water.
A bit shady neighborhood but the atmosphere inside the restaurant is great as well as their service. Assorted ham and cheese tasted great. Pinsa was good but nothing to fight over for.
Ask for the spicy oil , game changer.
The margherita pizza is really good, and you don't need to wait 1h like you would at Tony's.
A hidden gem in a random soma alley. The pinsa’s were good. Could have used some salt.
It's basically a "peasant" version of pizza made fancy , from high-quality ingredients, where the personal size runs $15–20. Seems expensive for the neighborhood & ambiance, but very good service .
The various pinsas have all been good. The salads good too. I think I’ve tried them all.
Panini lunch special was not a bad deal. Comes with side salad . $12
The food is simple, but don't let that fool you; everything is delicious.
Pizzas are great. Loved them.
A great space with good service and excellent food.
All the flat breads (aka, pizzas ) are good. The kale caesar is great.
Their pinsa is delicious - slight bitterness with a good chew
FYI -- the pinsas are personal sized. If you are ordering take out you'll need one per person.
Gorgeous spot for dinner or date night !
The cauliflower app and gordiani pizza are great
Chef will not take any requests to swap ingredients despite allergies
Great pinsa , wine and ambiance.
Amazing pizza ! And sun dried tomatoes ????????
Stick to the pizza , which is great, and you'll leave happy.
The pinsas are a unique spin on pizza .
The food is excellent, as were the staff
Their flatbread things are kind of like if you turned naan into a pizza .
The margherita pinsa is great!
Host stand is a bit of a mess but the food is delightful.
Yummy cheese platter !
Montesacro was okay but a little hard to eat (logistically). Water was plentiful.
Pizza was nice, don’t try German wines
The broccoli pizza was delicious
Good Pizza ????
Try a pinsa , they're great
Nice place to a date night .
The tomato sauce pinsas are the ones...
Cheese and salumi board for days bro
Unique pizza
All of the pizzas .
Loved the Pinsa
Have some delicious comfort food on a communal table. Loved the mushroom pasta and garlic broccoli! - Pei ???? Wen
Start with a salad (the kale is great) and then share a few pizzas with the group. The Amatriciana is a standout choice (tomato, pancetta, chilies, pecorino, oregano & an egg) - Ray Lin
Seat in the mezzanine or loge are very good for sound and view. Also definitely preorder drinks as the lines are ver long. Y - Rebecca Elliott
Nice size theater for the city - not overwhelming - Danielle Ebstein
A classic SF venue. Balcony upstairs for those that want to sit. Great GA area on the main floor -- very close to the stage. - Brian Strauss
