These parks are nothing short of magnificent. Find a secluded, grassy patch behind the trees , spread out a blanket, grab a pizza from Fornino , and have a great evening with friends.
Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6 seems to be the kiddy area. You’ll find Slide Mountain , Swing Valley & Water Lab here. Volleyball courts are also here.
At the entrance/exit to/from pier 6, you’ll find plenty of seats & shaded area .

The playgrounds at Pier 6 are whimsical and awesome. I wish I had playgrounds like this as a kid.

You will have to walk a good 20 minutes if you enter the park off high st. The $4 ferry at Pier 1 also goes to governor's island
Love this park but I think they should have add more kid friendly activities. Also more bathrooms .

I think this is a really pretty playground BUT it's also sort of a nightmare. It's so crowded and the thick bushes make it almost impossible to keep an eye on your kid if there even 10 feet away.
This place has lots of cool playgrounds ! Ride your bike , almost no public parking .
