Trader Joe's: a neighborhood grocery store with amazing food and drink from around the globe and around the corner. Great quality at great prices - that's what we call value.
1095 Hyde St (at California St) San Francisco , CA 94109 United States
Credit Cards | Yes (incl. American Express) |
Instead of Sunday as and Mondays, come Tues (when it's not a 3 day weekend) or Weds evenings for a less frantic shopping experience.
Since I live in US, this is the only great grocery store where I'm able to buy great and taste food. For God sake ! we need more Trader Joe's around San Francisco! :D
Excellent selection. If you do not like long lines , do not go on weekends in the noon time or after work hours on weekdays. However, even when the line is long, it moves fairly fast.
Love having TJs so close by. Don't go right after work, the check out lines run all the way down the aisles and will take you forever to leave!
Happy staff , convenient location, now open later. Just one issue, and this goes for all locations: Trader Joe's needs to put a stop to these periodic nationwide Speculoos cookie butter droughts.
Not as big of a spread as other TJs but they have the basics. And the staff are so friendly ! Avoid after-work hrs, they'll be running low on your fave pre-made salads and meals. Bonus: parking garage
enter on California & park below the store. easy in easy out!
The cookie butter here is to die for. Customers are limited to purchasing 3 containers each because they are in such high demand.
I got 3 bags of carrots , a bag of Granny Smith apples & a bag of pears - all organic - for $7.15! For someone who juices everyday, I appreciate the bargain!
I got an amazing strawberry pure juice and it was the best thing ever for the morning. Also, pb and j chocolate bar !
Don't come here Sunday afternoons for fresh i.e. chilled berries . Because you will be back on Monday at eight in the morning. You do get chocolate while waiting in line though.
When the lines are long...If you're shopping with a roommate or significant other, have them wait in line while you shop
No zoodles , but it's got everything else most other Trader Joe's carry. Come earlier in the day, as produce typically sells out near closing time.
Chicken Gyoza Potstickers are a bargain, clean store and friendly crew members on duty.
Super easy parking , very friendly staff , really enjoy coming to this location!
The staff is great! If you're lucky, you'll be in the store when Hall&Oates "Private Eye" is playing...see what the staff does...
Lines can get long, but this TJ’s has a decent selection
It's a grocery store , so you know what to expect. They have a limited selection, but have quirky items that you'll probably enjoy too.
If you just moved here from NYC get excited because the lines are never as long! You can do groceries on Sunday again.
I think that they don't need that much registers!! I think they could of made the garage a little smaller so Trader Joes can have more run downstairs for more stuff!
Sundays at 430 is a good time to shop if you like the company... And empty inventory + lines halfway down isles.
Saturdays are cool if you get out of here before 1pm. However, avoid shopping on Sunday and Monday evenings - said my cashier the other day. And I believe her.
Bring cash so you can get in the short line on busy nights
5 stem peonies for $6.99, available late April to June. Best deal in the city .
On Sunday afternoon 's and Monday evenings . Grab 2 baskets instead of a cart, beat the long lines .
The trick is to go after 8:00pm to avoid the lines , especially early in the week.
Lines are crazy on Monday evenings . Shop early or use Instacart if you *really* need that Two Buck Chuck .
Great grocery store .
Beware the dark chocolate peanut butter cups . It's a drug.
So incredibly crowded on Sundays
Good place, our local food place but produce quality could use some love
Avoid Sundays and Monday's or 6-7:30pm the line is insane!
Say hi to the guard next to the carts. He'll smile and might even say hi back.
TRY THE ORGANIC GREEK YOGURT , ITS ALMOST LIKE MY YAYA IN GREECE MAKES...:)
Try to leave here without buying something packaged with plastic. Good luck! Even much of the produce is wrapped in plastic.
Gluten free food selection is awesome here!
Most convenient parking lot in the neighborhood !
Great seasonal stuff
Try to avoid the after work rush. It's a checkout disaster post 6 pm.
Apparently there is a nationwide langoustine shortage and this item will be temporarily unavailable until further notice.
Everybody that works here is so freakin happy & nice. Stop it!
Leave your dog in your purse
Avoid shopping here on Sunday & Mondays!!! Lines are crazy long!
The far right line feeds to one register. The other lines feed to 2 registers.
Avoid at all costs on the weekends. It might be faster to drive to Oakland than to wait in these long lines . (See photo. This is normal.)
Great crew, great new TJ's in my hood!
Go for the kale instead of the iceberg lettuce
They changed their hours to stay open until 10 pm every day
Better now that they divided up the basket only lines . Some people were clueless!
Come at 7pm on a weekday and wait 45 minutes in line to checkout
