Lucky Baldwin's Trappiste Pub & Cafe

I usually go on Saturday afternoon when it's slower. They usually have football (soccer ) games on. Their Belgian beer list is usually pretty great, this is their Trappiste bar after all.

More spacious and less crowded than the old town location . Lots of great beers and pub food . Love the steak and mushroom pie or cottage pie .

Great tap list , appropriate glassware , much more mellow than the Old Town location .

The steak and mushroom pie is wonderful. I love to sit here and watch the footie with a pint or two. They get big and noisy crowds for big matches, and it feels great.

Alan’s Vegetarian Chip Medley is delicious. Also very good was the Vegetarian Burger with Avocado !

Try cottage pie with basmati instead of mash potatoes - and sprinkle salt and pepper over green peas !

$12 steak and mash on Wednesday- get the mushroom sauce - it's more buttery

Shepherds pie , pot pies , Cornish pasties, fish and chips .

Some outdoor seating + craft beer = can't go wrong.

For ex-pats hankering for a full english bfast - you cant go wrong here. Closest thing to a greasy spoon in LA.

Don't order the bruschetta . It was soggy/mushy and didn't taste good. Beer is awesome and so is most of the food...just don't order the bruschetta

Music was incredibly loud and when asked to turn it down a little, was told, "People paid for it." Unlike my lunch , I suppose? Service needs work.

It's all about fish and chips and french dip .

The bread pudding is pretty damn good

Is there more than one person working? We ordered drinks and an appetizer fifteen minutes ago and don't have anything.

Peets Coffee here is the best!

The other LB's are better. I keep having a bad experience here with the wait staff . Service here is pretty terrible, and it's not fun.
