Best barbecue in Kansas City which is saying a lot with Jack Stack, Bryant's. For true "back if the gas station experience" go to the original location. But the food at Roe is as good and bigger space

Not the original gas station setting but the food is all the same. I like the winding queue line they have to the order counter, I felt like I was at a theme park waiting to ride to BBQ heaven.

I love that I can get the Z-man with chicken or Portobello mushrooms . The fries are amazing and the spicy slaw has the right amount of heat.

Really good food and fast service even though they were packed. Burnt ends are great but can be a bit salty. Try the brisket sandwich .

Had a full slab of ribs with a side of baked beans . Traditional but filling. Customers eat and leave so while it is busy, tables turn over regularly.

Get in line , order, pay, wait for the food, THEN sit down. And it's worth the wait. Good sauce, great ribs , good sausage & pulled pork . Not much to say about the brisket (dry) but a good experience

Some of my favorite ribs in town . If you are in the mood for something that is less meaty, the red beans and rice is often overlooked but it's great!

The food here is ALWAYS excellent. I am from out of state so may not be as experienced BUT still find this to be the best BBQ in KC !
