Hunting Island Campground

You can rent kayaks from Barefoot Bubas and they will deliver . Kayak tours from Kayak Farm 843-838-2008, Barefoot Kayak Tours 843-525-0810. Also the park has days they have Kayak farm tours .

Great campground make sure you make your reservation as early as possible as sites fill up fast.

Magic Sand- (I thought our kids were kidding us...ranger confirmed). At night go to the beach and where the sand is wet rub your feet back and forth and the sand will glow like pixi dust. No flashligt

Great campground . We had site 196. Huge and a very short walk to the bathhouse, beach , and office . Suggestion ..... clean/check bathrooms more often!

It is the Phytoplankton are single-celled algie that light up the sand at night when you run your feet or hands in the damp sand at night. Plus stars at night are beautiful.

So the campers next to us just got pizza delivered. Yes pizza on an island with nothing on it. (which is why we come). In case you need to order pizza ...The Big Cheesy delivers to the camp ground..

The larger the site number the more secluded you are in the woods. Slightly further from the beach but worth it for the shade.

Spot 9 is the best spot in the whole Park !!
