Corner Bar

Just so you know, nobody uses Four Square or Swarm around here. I'm here for 7 months on a consulting assignments back in NYC every 2 weeks. Look at dates of posts--most ended in 2012/13.

If you're trying to leave Corner bar for Gibson (a couple blocks north), stay at Corner Bar; the people are much more local and much more nicer

this place is the best. staff is great, good place to catch up with friends and/or watch a game.

Good any day of the week, especially for those after work drink specials . Great staff and crowd. My favorite bar in Austin after 6 years.

Cute place; roomier inside than I expected. Sliding doors open onto the tiny but cozy patio , adding to the non-claustrophobic feel. Neighborly and comfy , I'll be back.

Nice, new location with friendly staff . Is a little cramped both inside and out but it works. Average pour mixed drinks . Pizza from next door. Pretty good music . Interesting crowd not too douchey .

When leaving a tip about bars in South Austin, don't comment about the crowd, it just proves you're a transplant. Great bar !

Is this place always filled with such a foreboding aura of masculinity? Or was it just MMA night? Anyway, the bartenders are really nice.

Friendly staff , neighborhood-feel in this bar . Not as hipster as Black Sheep, must have an invisible "no tools allowed" force field .

Great nieghborhood bar . The quacker is quackable, which is nice...

Cons: the music is way too loud , parking is very limited, bar 's too wide, bathroom soap is just hand sanitizer. Pros: Spacious tables for parties of 10, a lot of tv 's, mixed crowed (?), food nearby.

The bar is way to huge. It takes up 1/2 the room. Wacky. Be sure to YELL.

I rather like this place. The bartenders were super sweet and I want to go back ever damn day.

Dog friendly is always a plus. Not a bad joint. Staff is nice.
