The arboretum is a great place to visit all year round where you can witness the foliage change with the seasons. It also makes for a great outdoor concert venue !
A lovely place to spend time with the family. Be sure to explore both parts. I prefer Silkwood, as it is a great way for the children to let off steam and run free. Prepare to get muddy and wet!

We spent a good two hours wandering along the seasonal trail . Lovely autumn leaves.
Bring thick socks and wellies when walking round the enchanted wood at Christmas - very cold, deep mud!
Hires a mobility scooter from them or ahead of your visit to really enhance your experience if you have walking difficulties
It's a fab place for kids. Try the house building area where you can build with real wood.
Enchanted christmas , walking through the forest drinking mulled wine & eating chestnuts .
Food and drink are over priced being a flask and a picnic
Beatifilly looked after, albeit reasonably expensive - £8 an adult.
Great place ti walk the dog and watch grown up plants.
Winter wonderland light show is a great evening at Christmas .
Bluebells in the Silk Wood are spectacular in late spring
Great venue for summer concerts !
Trees are amazing
Go there in autumn when all of the trees are lit up.
Ignore the parking marshals there useless!
