Context: I'm a cook. Worked for +10yrs @ michelin starred rests. HUSK is where chefs eat at & should. Lovely simple food, produce is taken care of rather than put through it's paces. Great drinks too.
Between the Husk in Charleston and the Nashville location that opened three years later, Tennessee takes the edge for pushing the extremes between classical and modern Southern cooking ever further. Read more
Best meal I had in Nashville. Amazing bourbon and rye selection. Ordered all of the first courses and three entrees which all delivered. I will always remember the catfish main course.
"A plate of southern vegetables " sounds like an unimpressive vegetarian option , but it's seriously one of the best meals I've ever had. Also incredibly filling
Best dish is the grits + poached egg + mushrooms that comes with the southern veggies . Soft shell crabs is super tasty too. Chicken dumplings were a little basic. Didn’t love the cornbread (dry).
Fresh, modern take on Southern food in a cozy , sleek house. Second location of famed Husk in Charleston. Don't skip the delicious cocktails . Love the homemade charcuterie and the burger .
A truly wonderful experience and must go to when in Nashville. Great wine list . Get the vegetarian plate ! It was incredible.
This place is amazing. Southern comfort food . The burger . The catfish . The wings . Fried chicken . We pretty much are the menu again. Best wait staff . Keeps a smile on your face.
The veggie plate is unreal. All my meat-loving friends were jealous of my dish for a change. +Bourbon ! If you're unsure of bourbon , try the Chestnut Filly- not too strong but refreshing and delish.
#FabuLIST #DubiDO order a bunch of appetizers rather than getting a main meal. I loved the mushrooms , pork buns , and ribs . Ask to be seated in the main room with open windows. DubiDONT beef entree.
Everything was sooo good. Country style steak with pepper gravy , catfish with veggies , and the burger was just awesome. Great mix of spices and flavor in an awesome setting.
With Tim Moody now running the kitchen, pastry chef Lisa Donovan's desserts continuing to impress and quite possibly the best bourbon list in the city , this one is here to stay. [Eater 38 Member] Read more
With Morgan McGlone driving the ever-changing menu, Lisa Donovan kicking out her signature desserts , and quite possibly the best bourbon selection in the city , don't expect this one to cool off.
Pimento cheese is killer. And the burger , while not their most famed dish, is outstanding for lunch . Two thin crispy patties are enhanced by cheese , soft onions , and lots of mustard . It’s incredible.
Great selection of rare bourbons but you must ask for the additional bourbon list . Head down to the bar if you missed out on a reservation .
The heirloom tomato with goat cheese panna cotta is amazing. I'd skip dessert though next time, as it didn't live up to the rest of the delicious meal.
Who knew Southern food could be done with such flourish? Chef Sean Brock does an amazing job of creating a menu that's both innovative and authentic . Get the Southern vegetables !
Country Vegetable dish was very unique and flavorful, especially the grits in mushroom and broth. Biscuits & Gravy were very tasty! Burger comes with TWO patties! Get the Pimento Cheese & Wafers !
Deviled eggs w/ smoked trout roe go fast, as do crisp chicken wings w/ the lemony condiment “comeback sauce." Even a dedicated meat-eater can get behind the Plate of Southern Vegetables . Read more
Everything you heard... Was an understatement. The staff (especially the mixologist ) was great. Everything starting with the bread to the food was fantastic. I will be back!
A friendly environment with elegant design, a connection with the restaurant rarely find from coast. Great food, unfortunately I didn't try their whisky .
Never can go wrong at Husk! Their menu changes daily. The cheese burger is not you average burger . So good! Fried chicken is spicy . Great cocktails !
Lovely service, solid cocktails . Husk’s respect for the unique flavor of meats is a strength. Want to know what beef , pork , chicken , trout can taste like... here.
Everything. The food was reminiscent of what our Southern grandmothers and mothers might have cooked. The Johnny cakes were so fluffy, and the atmosphere felt like being in someone's home.
what’s good here? uh, everything. cornbread ! 24 month country ham ! local beers ! the veggie dish ! the trout ! wish i had more time to return and try more menu items.
Do yourself a favor and check this place out! The burgers rolling out of Sean Brock 's Southern kitchen are some of the best in the country .

This is a must stop in Nashville. Great, flavorful food. They are not afraid to spice it up. I enjoyed the country veggie plate . It had a lot of great variety.
Amazing food. Amazing drinks, especially if you enjoy proper bourbon . It is worth noting that the bartender Jessica is not worth her weight. She was very out of depth and deceptive. Avoid her.
Everything is good here. My only recommendation is to go here.
The best Southern food I’ve ever had, a must try for all foodies. Check the shrimps & grits , the chicken or the deviled eggs .
Great ambiance. Love the style and layout of the restaurant ! Moderate portions. Great tasting foods. Menu changes daily. Tried quail and Lima beans: yum!!!!!
Shrimp and grits were excellent. ???? You gotta get the skillet pancakes on the side too. ????
It’s no secret that we love Sean Brock and we’ve already told you how we feel about Pastry Chef Lisa Donovan, so really the only thing left to say is make time to check out this breathtaking space.
nice space, service is very knowledgable and helpful, menu changes daily so hard to recommend dishes, but the charcuterie and pork belly sliders were the most memorable.
Still dreaming about the Pork dish ... belly & shoulder, roasted then seared to melt-in-your-mouth perfection. You gotta try it
Husk is located in Rutledge Hill—in the heart of Downtown Nashville. The kitchen reinterprets the bounty of the surrounding area, exploring a cuisine that redefines what it means to eat in Nashville.
Fresh ingredients , bold flavors, and delightful ambience characterize this gem of a restaurant . I wanted to try nearly everything on the menu...
Grab a seat at the bar during lunch and try some of their epic Nashville hot fried chicken !
Neat concept! Loved the setup.. but the star attraction here is the food and the cocktails . Bartenders really know their stuff!
Great place for sharers! Order one of everything! Seriously, I went overboard and regret nothing.
The white lily biscuits w/ Jake’s sock sausage gravy and 12 month Benton’s country ham , biscuits & pooped sorghum seeds e ordered today were delicious.
Can't-miss dining opportunity in Nashville. Great, smart service with delicious food.
Awesome place all and all, Farm Pork is a great food choice. Oh, and if you're downstairs always ask for Kevin as your bartender .
Charcuterie plate , shrimp and grits was amazing; the beef tartare was a bit too salty; beautiful decor and space
The appetizers are better than the entrees. Try the clams and the bone marrow . Good beer selection too - the yazoo porter was incredible
the Alabama Squid & Grits with tomato gravy was one of the top meals I've ever eaten. Service was perfection. I will return!
I actually had really great service, went for Saturday brunch - fried chicken and biscuits and biscuit beignet were both good! - Kelsey W
