Take your coffee from Carmel Valley Roasting co to go and walk down Ocean Avenue, admire the beautiful flowers and quaint inns - and prepare yourself for the beauty of the shoreline.

Awesome place to throw down a blanket on the sand and lie down for a while. Great views . Remember, the more beverages you drink down on the beach , the less of a load you'll have to carry back up. 

The weather is amazing, the local community is not as friendly as anticipated. There is a hazy smug that lies over the gated houses. I suggest parking early as the beach gets crowded quickly.

Pretty white sand beach . Gets crowded on weekends, especially in the summer. Don't forget to bring a warm layer or jacket for the evenings.

Parking on Ocean is terrible. Park south of eighth street and use one of stairs to access the beach . Best time for beach is after 2:00pm.

A perfect place to watch the sun set and marvel in the magnificent natural beauty. After the sun sets, take a drive along Scenic Drive to complete the experience!

What a beautiful beach ! Soft white sand and a great view ...this was just a 5 minute walk from our cottage @ Green Lantern Inn .

Dogs can run off leash as long as they are under voice command. Weekend parking can be a bitch, especially on summer weekends. Ironic because the beach is usually cold and foggy in the summer.

One of the most beautiful beaches on the coast. The white sand is luxurious just like the town in which it resides.

Great for dogs (off leash if they behave :-)) and bonfires until 10 pm curfew. And stunning sunsets , of course.

DOG FRIENDLY AND GORGEOUS. Take 8th street to the end and see great cypress trees and a beautiful view , bring your dog.

Can be a bit windy at times. Bring a jacket , it might get a bit cold. Especially if overcast or at sunset !. Bring a blanket to nuggle with to take everything in. Take your time.

Get water for your dog or wash off the sand here. Also, trash cans, recycling bins and bags for doggie poop. Handy!

Typically cloudy but when you come here when it's sunny, the waters just glow with a turquoise blue and sands white as seashells.

Bring your camera ! Sometimes you can see dolphins and seals really close to shore, and the sunsets are great.

Swimming is forbidden due to dangerous currents, but the beach is great for walking and playing!

come often and notice how the level of sand changes. Walk north so not to miss the tide pools under the cliffs of Pebble Beach Golf Course .

Literally the most scenic beach I've ever been to. I could sit here a contemplate life for hours.

Dress in layers - temperatures can vary greatly! I have been there in August one day where the temperature was 75 degrees and then down to 58 degrees the very next day.
