Be prepared for a long walk. Put on boots made for walking and you are prepared to get dirty feet. Loots of sheep , cow and geese phoooo everywhere.Sculptures , strange trees and landscape to see.
This place is huge.... And has some very "interesting" stuff. Most of it is wonderful to see, and the grounds are gorgeous:)
Walking around I saw a lot of women in high heels, wedges, and flip flops. DON'T. The ground is covered in sheep and cow dung. It's also uneven. Flat sensible trainers are appropriate.
Try a circular walk from the YSP Centre to the Longside Gallery and back. Good exercise and fantastic art : what more could you want?
A great place to stretch the legs for a few hours. Check out the rusted steel tree sculpture near the old church - brilliant.
Wear good walking shoes ... ground can be muddy and is covered in animal waste in parts. A great place to spend a few hours
Absolutely gorgeous place to go and get lost in. Be sure sure to check out the underground gallery
The new landscaping is complete. Take a walk round the lower lake then cross the cascade bridge to get to the stepping stones with a great view back to Bretton Hall.
Insanely expensive prices in the shops, £5.20 for two packs of crisps and a cookie ? Bring your own snacks ! And... £6. 50 for two hors parking ? Almost robbery!
Nice for a walk and take photos, a lot of sheep wandering around also
Be sure to pop into the cafe there. Some of the food is a bit on the pricey side but tastes fab. I recommend the red pepper , houmous and guacamole sandwich !
Sculpture may not be your thing but Bretton Park and lakes are wonderful for walking around.
Modern art , if that's your bag. A couple of steel girders painted green and welded together.

The pink grapefruit & cranberry drink is a lovely after a walk in the sun.

Art outdoors, a surprise around every corner, an amazing place!!
Get bus to gallery at top of hill and have a lazy walk down back to main galleries .
Couldn't find anywhere to park the bikes and the car parking charges were high. However as its free entry it works out as a cheap day for the family.

Good weddings
This place embraces the different "experience". We love it.
Wear boots or wellies
Cafe in the visitor centre does gorgeous food...
The grounds and exhibits are great but avoid the restaurant . The food is not up to standard so eat elsewhere!
Go to the restaurant and order yourself some yummy cake !
