If Bar Italia fell in the woods, would Leichhardt still exist? This institution is still the goto place for great gelato , as well as a cool place to just sit sipping a good, strong coffee .

Read the tips and yeah the pasta is not amazing, but the sum of it all is better than the parts. The main draw is the gelato ; zabaglione, tiramisu and passion fruit being our personal favs.

Tried the Milano fettuchini ..amazing...and a great selection of pizzas...crust was neither too hard nor too soggy..just done right...cozy atmosphere ...:)

They make really good chicken schnitzel here. Homely, unpretentious food.

I had the vege sandwich and Toblerone gelato and they were so good.

The gelato is a must! And I've had breakfast too which I enjoyed.

The tiramisu here is the best I've ever had! So much mascarpone cream that its more like a mouse :-)

Cash only & no table service. They will give u a tray to carry stuff to ur table if u ask for it! Lactose intolerant (or just prefer ur milk skinny/light), don't bother! Full fat is all u get here.

No one makes pistachio gelato like these guys!! One scoop means one whole cup too... value and taste!

How does this place survive? No milkshakes , no ice, run out of everything - someone needs to tell them we're not in the 90s anymore and to get with the programme.
