Fantastic! One of the most beautiful museums on par with Sistine Chapel. Klimt's foyer is a true art highlight. Amazing collection of works. Rip off cafe w terrible €20 schnitzel so bring a sandwich .
Beautiful building with a large art collection ! Only drawback? They missed adding info in English at the Roman and Greek section.
I'm not an art buff, but I really enjoyed this museum . Layout was thoughtfully designed and had various different type of paintings , sculptures , & artifacts . Took 3 hours to peruse 70% of the museum
Awesome! 1st floor: Egyptian,Roman and Greek ancient exhibits ,splendid kunstkammer ! 2nd floor: Rubens(seasonal exhibit ),Bruegel,Caravaggio,Rembrandt, van Eyck and others. 3rd floor: collectible coins.

Great museum ,highly recommend, many interesting works of great painters ,no contemporary painters ,free WiFi
Skip the first floor and start from the second with some of the most famous paintings . Bar on the second floor is amazing but gets crowded during the lunch time. Leave your stuff in the lockers.
Astonishing architecture . Vast collections. Prepare to spend hours there. Do get an audio guide. If you get tired, you can always rest at the cafe .
Lots of neat art from various times and places. Habsburg treasures form the really unique collection. The automatons are pretty neat (videos of them in action are available to view ).
"Kunstkammer " (literally "Chamber of Art ") reopened after 11 years of restauration on March 1st, 2013; by now you need an extra ticket to book your time slot
Worth to visit, there is one of the best collection in Europe. Rembrandt, Durer, Titian, both Breigel, etc.
The Austrian decor collection is a must see, I'm amazed especially by the old style clocks, the crystal decorations and the interior.
Amazing museum ! The only bad thing - bad audio guide support (it covers not all marked items).
The exhibits are amazing... Especially the Greek and roman .... But the museum should make it easier for visitors to understand what they see... The explanations are only in German...
The Egyptology collection is world class & the Egyptian style salons in which the collection is displayed are stunning
Between the Museums "Kunsthistorisches Museum " and "Naturhistorisches Museum " a little Christmas village develops. Here you can find all kinds of artistic handicrafts .
Ask for a reservation for the restaurant as soon as you get there... Seating may take a while, so wander the museum while you wait. Return on time. This buffet is 39€! And worth every cent!
The audio guide is well worth the €4.
The Loincloth of Christ, and piece of tablecloth from the last supper alone are worth coming here for!!! Amazing!
You're not going to regret spending 1 day in this fabulous museum . Collection of paintings is remarkable. You'll also see gorgeous Klimt's wall paintings
Recommend it 100%! You need at least 3hours to explore the art gallery and a few hours more to digest it :)
