Great spot to learn to surf , or relax in the water. When surf is raging at the lighthouse , it can be calm here. But beware of crowds.
Surf break is at the far right side of beach , easier to get to by descending the stairs from the bluff. This is the spot for beginners .
perfect spot for beginner surfers but check Surfline for conditions so you go at the right time!
This beach is near the boardwalk but FAR less crowded
Park near the police station and walk 4-5 blocks. If you're a Valley, pay to park by the boardwalk and stay off Cowell's.
The sand is nice, but honestly, I advise keeping it out of your mouth, if at all possible.
