Named after a Viking look out point, the Beacon South Quarter was where the Vikings housed their kin who didn't need glasses. The Vikings were defeated by the contact lens wearing Normans in 1152.
Prices in Sandyford area are higher than in the city centre. No like.
Enjoy the paintings as they are before they change

Brilliant customer service! love the welcome I always receive. - Justin Kinnear
Gym is packed at peak times and opening hours have been cut back for 2013. There are also queues for classes but thankfully they have put a stop to the putting a towel in the queue nonsense - Neil C
Nice few shops here - check out Donnybrook Fair for some great food - Sarah Madden
Good TK Maxx here - lots of Gold Label stuff and much calmer/more spacious than the outlet in the city - aoife Flynn
Dublin sandwich chain. What made then great, and what makes me going back is their Chicken Woopie toastie. Lovely! - Robert Mourik
Great shopping centre. The Big Bang is my favourite store there, great if you are into comics or collectibles. Love M&S too for the food stuff, if you head early in the day the parking is quite good. - Mark Dalton
