Not the famous Din Tai Fung but their soup dumplings (xiao long bao ) is surprisingly comparable! We also loved the fried pork buns , onion pancakes , and the hot and sour soup . Fast service too
"I always make sure I get the soup dumplings . They're affordable and obviously made in-house. Finish off that meal with a Coke Plus over ice!" - Chef Matt Blondin Read more
Sprinkle a bit (or a little) shredded ginger and red vinegar to every bite. So good w/ dumplings/xiao long bao and the pancakes ! Also agree that the braised noodle soup is super delicious. Share it.
Dimsums (particularly Xiao long bao ) are superb. Other dishes such as noodles or Kung pao weren't as great as dimsums but still nice. Worth to visit.
Don't come if you are famous world class DIN TAI FUNG . This is a copycat restaurant . It's a 3.5 star of of 5. The food is so so. But definitely shameless for copying the real one to make money.
Little dragon buns are a must. For a unique dessert , try the black sesame dumplings , kind of like a luxurious ball of peanut butter in your mouth (but better!)
Steamed soup dumplings with pork fillings (Xiao long bao ) is my fave???? Best fried rice ever is the fried rice with egg , shrimp , and ham ???? ????
Growing up, I've always had the double-boiled chicken noodle soup here...the broth is so flavorful. And the xiaolongbao is so yummy as well ! My sister and I fight for it everytime!
In my top 5 list for dumpling rest is in the Tdot, to be fair the list probably only has 5 in total. Not as good as Xiao Long Bao in Scarb and a far cry from the namesake in Asia!!!
Their garlic chive (韭菜) dumplings are jammed packed with garlic chives . Be prepared to have that aftertaste in your mouth for hours and hours and hours.
You must try their soup dumplings !! Definitely worth the drive to Markham
Best 小龍包 in Toronto. Always solid northern Chinese eats. Don't miss the soup dumplings !
Shanghai dumplings , great homemade noodles and dim sum . I love the soup dumplings and the ones in spicy oil .
So delicious!! Try the spicy shanghai wontons , and Xiao long baos (pictured).
This place is awesome!! For authentic Chinese food and yummy xiao long bao this is the place to go!
The minced beef pie tasted just as great as the xiao long baos (similar filling). Beef Pancake wrap is okay... I'd skip it. The shrimp dishes are great tho!
Excellent 小籠包,price is a bit higher, but it is worth it.
These are alright but definitely not as great as some places downtown! It just misses the taste of real Shanghai xiaolongbao
Soup dumplings (Xiaolongbao ) were decent but the meat was rather coarse and didn't have a great shape or texture, and there wasn't enough meat juice . Goubuli's version is better actually.
Must try the soup dumplings ! Service is fast and efficient.
Try the soup dumpling with ginger dipped in spicy oil - Mmmmmm! Can't have them without spicy chili oil LOL
The crab meat soup dumplings is stuffed with a lot of crab !!
#11 #12 or #13. Those are the "soup " dumplings . Watch you friends at the table or your shirt for splashes!
Try the pan-fried pork dumpling - Look at the meaty juice dripping on the plate! Loved it :)
Try the Massive meat balls on napa cabbage - Actually this was beyond our expectation: tasty :D
Soup dumplings are great here
THE BEST HOT AND SOUR SOUP IN THE GTA HANDS DOWN. (I'm an expert, trust me)
Pretty consistent in terms of quality food. Lots of variety.
Try the Xiao Long Bao - Little burst of warm soup and meat in every bite :)
Great dim sum . A little pricey
Try the Xiao Long Bao - We are here at Ding Tai Fung again for soup dumplings !
I like the spicy Shanghai wontons .
People love the xiao long bao but I come for the pan fried beef cakes . Also, I love a washroom w/ a powerful Dyson hand-dryer!
This place has great dumplings and not hard on the wallet. :-)
Best Shanghai dim sum place in town
Try the Xiao Long Bao - A little close-up for you guys ;)
One of the best juicy dim sum !!
You just found the best authentic Shanghai dim sum in the city .
Try the Pan-fried Shanghai Soup Dumpllings - Are they shanghai style like I said here?! Not sure.. he he
Try the pan-fried pork dumpling - So fat and juicy!
So good!!!!
Get here before noon on weekends (Saturday, anyway) and beat the lineups.
Best xiao long bao in the GTA!
Try the Snow pea green with black mushroom
Spicy beef tendon .
Great food but long line-ups on weekends.
Xiao long Bao
Their AC is turned up pretty high, bring a cardigan.
Try the Pork sticky rice dim sum
Everything is quite bland and without flavour. I will give 4 out of 10
Go to next station crêpe (shinjuku). service is amazing. You can get a choice of small or large tapioca in a drink. They serve crêpes as the name suggests. They are very good. They welcome suggestions - Nicky Chung
Lots of side dishes here. Pork bone soup, soon tofu and bibimbap are my go -to items :) ....oh and their galbi has great flavour too :) - Stephanie Lau
Really yummy hot snacks and hot bowl rice (for 2 ppl)! Really affordable! - Bea
Love this place! Try the crispy spicy beef its amazing! Downside is they only give you 4 soup filled dumplings instead of the standard 6. Everything else hits the spot though - Pam Chan
The beef tendon is so good!! Especially if you like a bit of spice and raw garlic. The hot & sour soup is also to die for!! - Dayes W
Nice street-side sui mai in the foodcourt...it's made with fish paste but as a small snack with some soy sauce, you can't go wrong! - Jon Pong
there are lots of shops from home goods to tech to kbeauty things. there’s also great selection for bubble tea and snacks! definitely love uncle tetsu’s cheesecake. - Lily
