Must get a membership...it will save you a ton of money! Between saving on parking , admission, and dolphin tickets, the family membership will repay itself many times over if you go more than once!

Viet Lam

beautiful! i'm a bit picky about zoos since i've been to many places, and zoos are usually my top 5 places to visit. but i have to say this is a great place to visit. in fact, i just became a member!

Eric James

If you go after 12:00 noon - drive all the way to the back row and then up to the front (left) to look for early arrivals leaving choice parking spaces ; don't follow the herd to the back of the lot.

Shannon Jeropke

This is the largest of the Chicago area zoos and they do a great job of leading conservation efforts to help endangered species.

Paul O1KO

If you need to recharge your phone, just go find one of these outlets on the lamppost inside the zoo ! Lift up the lid and plug in your charger. This one is by the Ape house. Charging my iPhone!

Feel the holiday spirit and see the lights at the Annual Brookfield Zoo Holiday Magic during the Holidays in the Chicago area. The zoo is located on 216 acres and features over 2,000 animals.

Tom P

Purchase the annuals family pass. It's worth it in gold with smaller kids. Also pay the extra $2.00 for members to park on Southside lot. A short walk to gates.

Brian Kelly

Awesome place for the Family! We have an annual membership which we take full advantage of. There are Zoo Nights, Boo at the Zoo , and so many more fun activities for the family to do. Awesome!

Alex Cleveland

Pick up a map and an event schedule as soon as you get in. If you're in the right place at the right time, you can see all sorts of cool zoo chats and events with your favorite animals.

Ana M.

I have loved this zoo since I was a kid. Look for free weekends in the winter. Check out 'Sexy Shrimp ' at the penguin exhibit .

Jill Rettberg

Lots of free days in winter! The Play Zoo is fantastic for kids, and there's a baby gorilla in the big primate house. Parking is $10 but on weekends park free at high school outside south gate.

Christina Rodriguez

Been a member for forever. Wear comfy shoes . Stay away from the eatery by the penguin house RUDE STAFF ! Beware of the peacocks and geese they aren't afriad. Dolphin show is amazing!

Amy Robertson

Expect to be Nickle and dimes if you aren’t a member(or buy that which makes it feel cheaper). The hamil family zoo and dolphin show are good deals for extras

HISTORY

BZ is picnic friendly - feel free to pack your own food and drinks to enjoy at the many picnic areas in the park . Hand sanitizer is also good idea.

Richard Witt

Tram tickets are good all day. Ride to the east side for a Red Hot lunch . The fries are AWESOME. Enjoy the dolphins and decide if you want to continue your tram tour .

Ashley Genevieve

The Holiday Magic activities are always super fun. Not to mention some of the big cats are only active at night :)

Terrass Misher

A beautiful zoo , way better than Lincoln park zoo . The animals have much more space to roam.

Debbie W

This is a zoo that has it all. There is a lot of area to cover so come early. Prices are expensive , so you may want to look into membership.

Lady Guzman

Playground by dolphin show is MUCH less crowded and has kid friendly seating. Also, gift shop in Wilderness area sells limited edition Star Wars inspired tees.

Sarah Sharif

- One of the neatest Zoo 's I've been too! Couldn't finish the tour in a day! :) loved it though.

Amanda

You can touch the sting rays in Sting Ray Bay ! And the children's part of the zoo is more hands on for the kids. -Suggested tip from Cassie T., Safelite customer

Grape Adler

If you come off Wolf Road on to 1st Ave. , you can go in thru the South Entrance a smaller lot with a shorter walk to the zoo !

Bee N.

Stingray Bay is definitely a place to go. The stingrays literally just come right up to you when you put your hand in!

Iryna Vistovska

The Zoo is gigantic! Nice place to spend the entire day.

Primate area was awesome. There are two new babies and the families put on quite the show when we were there.

Anna Cavallo

I love going to the Brookfield Zoo. My family and I have been going here forever and ever...

I love to go there with my boys but the weekends and holidays are too crazy. If you can go during the week, make the time to do it. The kids area has lots of great stuff to entertain them. Read more

When going to the Holiday Magic show, get there around 4pm for no wait to get in. After 6pm, there is a long line just to get in the parking lot .
