The OG of NYC tiki bars . Order whatever looks good, you can't go wrong. Bonus points for getting to take the mug home with you (if you want).
The bartenders are great, and so are the drinks. Collect all the tiki mugs if you can: its a great excuse to try every drink they make. Good music too! And did i mention the great bartenders ?
I freakin love this bar . The cocktails are fun. The atmosphere is odd & entertaining. I bring all NYC visitors here that want a uniquely New York experience.
One of the last OG East Village dives. Have a tiki drink , see your friends band, you’ll have a great time.
If you like dark & stormy 's, try their version: the stormy skull ! Little plastic monkeys that are added hanging off the side of your glass are a plus!
Laid back tiki bar with a punk rock/rockabilly/psychobilly crowd. They have a huge back room that they show movies in and give out free popcorn . Photobooth op too.
Father Vincent is at the door. Respect him and the Otto's staff and musical talent, and you will have the time of your life! Exotic drinks and tiki-decor cup takeaways are a real deal! Music reigns.
Tiki mugs are great for coffee , too, just sayin' (especially the Yorick-esque skull one). Steal 'em from the bar and take 'em home with you! Oh, and look out for the tattooed "Rebel of Wall Street."
Cool spot if you are local or passing through. The best times to go are on Thursday for Move Your Mule ska night or once a month of Fridays they have their rockabilly themed night.
With live music , comedy and open mic nights in the back room, you can either come here for a show or come here to get your drink on in a cheap & fun fashion. Read more

Very helpful, trusting and amazing staff along with amazing cocktails in a sick dive with traditional little tiki heads!!!
Fun cash only place that has amazing tiki glasses you can keep for $6!!
Don’t leave this bar without ordering The Slice of Heaven. Only available for a half hour starting every Saturday night around 2:30 a.m., deep friend bacon and a shot of your choice. Nuff said, right?
Cash only . Otto's Octane is tasty and the bartender has a heavy hand. The place reminds me a lot of Bourbon st. in New Orleans
Live music in the back. Embrace the weird and you'll have a good time.
The staff are lovely, the music selection is great, the drinks will knock you on your arse! Take home your tiki mug !
This place is lovably weird. Live music and tiki drinks . Age of the crowd ranges dramatically.
Happy hour 6 - 8 bogof on well drinks and beer but make sure you ask for the happy hour deals .
My NYC home base bar . Order my tiki creation (that is still on the menu) the Ruby Jewels. Ca-CAW! Ca-CAW!

Unique vibe, great tiki drinks , and live music in the back
Have a Tiki Drink and get your picture taken in the real (not digital) vintage black & white photo booth .
Tiki drinks ain't cheap but I love this place.
The entire music scene in the back is such a scene...in the best way possible.

Dive bar with live music , mixed drinks and cocktails . If you like tiki bars this place is for you.
Winner of Best Tiki Bar in the Village Voice 2011 Best Of issue! Stay for bacon and a shot at 2:30 AM Saturdays!
Definitely need to catch "No Name & a Bag of Chip "...the best stand up comedy show ever on Fridays - 2x a month. It's free with no drink minimum.
Come for the live music . Insist on any beverage that comes with a drink monkey.
Cozy tiki bar / dive with live music and fun staff .
Live music kicks off around 9pm so if you're not a fan of hardcore punk rock , consider coming up with a Plan B.
The tiki drinks are hangovers in a glass...however, quite delicious
The bar I've been dreaming about existing/being able to go to since I was 14 and obsessed with the Ramones.
Awesome Tiki bar and great/horrible punk bands.
Come with friends and get the cocktails . They are fun!
The drinks are a bit pricey for a tikki bar .
Best escape from the city ever!!! I felt a million miles away on a tropical island !
Very interesting place. Not the same old standard EV drinking crowd. Unique drinks, too.
If and when you come order pang's punch it looks ridiculous and you will laugh when you get it but you won't be able to stop drinking them all night
Late night Saturdays, Zofia is the one of best bartenders in the east village ! stop in and see her!
ok, obsessed with all the sweet ceramic glassware . drinks will get you right drunk too
Come at 3pm for a fun open mic with the one and only Jimmy Peoples!
They have one of the few remaining old-school photobooths in the city . It's expensive , though -- $5!

Very fun karaoke. If you have a big group, it's worth calling ahead and having them reserve space in the back for you. - Jessica Greco
