Tried the subtlely popular Roasted Chicken Rice from 福翔鸡饭 (Fu Xiang Ji Fan) stall. Hearsay the rice is nice. Well , my verdict is: its one of the many palatable Roasted Chicken Rice in SG.
Try the turtle soup from Ah Li Turtle Soup . My only gripe is that you can't taste the Chinese wine in the soup . Bring your own thimble of XO if you want to add a kick ;)
A new stall was found at this eating house. Replacing the Ipoh Hor Fun stall . Famous Herbal Beef Noodle from Kim Moh Restaurant @Marine Parade Road . The beef noodle taste good. Must try!
Ban mian. Generous serving for $3.50. Lots of vegetables . Basic honest flavours. Prompt service during peak hour weekday lunch
A small coffee shop with a small-but-okay selection of differing gourmets. Can get very busy during meal times, with lack of tables/seats. The dry “baan mien” is recommended, apparently… (YMMV!)

Economic rice stall quotes inconsistent prices. Double check what you're paying.
The Hokkien Prawn Mee $4 over priced. Not good and only 2 prawns .
