Vasquez Rocks Park

Its most famous appearances include TV 's Star Trek , Blazing Saddles, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Adventure, Short Circuit and as the modern Stone Age family community of Bedrock in 1994's The Flintstones .

One of my favorite hikes in Northern L.A. Country . During the week if there is no filming in progress you can sometimes have it all to yourself. Limited cell coverage- which is nice! SUNSCREEN !

Short trip from LA when there is no traffic. Fantastic rocks to climb and hike around. Bring a picnic and a camera .

Awesome place place to hike with family and friends. Do the loop trail to get a fair view of the park . And don’t forget “cool kids stay on the trail .”

Fun place to hike with the dogs. Parking is convenient, too.

Very easy to get lost here. Hardly any shade. Bring lots of water if you plan to hike beyond the rocks.

Bring water. No facilities within the park . There are port o potties in the main lot and the car dead end.

Very easy to checkout, just two miles from the highway. Also, very cool.

There are picnic tables but very little shade. Also, it can get really windy.
