Maude's Cafe & Side Car Bar are absolutes when it comes to the classic Downtown social scene. Smoking & pets welcome outside. Great coffee , desserts . "Side Car Bar " has eclectic entertainment!

I've only been a couple times but coffee is good, breakfast sandwich was great, staff is fine, not OVERLY friendly but definitely not rude. Great to meet w friends outside or do some work/studying

Decent little coffee shop downtown. Great if you can catch the live music outside. Their iced raspberry chai was so good!

Bring a previously used cup for big discount refills (even espresso ). Bring your own mug for a one dollar cups of the daily brew.

A Gainesville institution for those who don't enjoy loud & crowded bars . There's a good reason why they've been around for decades.

Not a place to cram (sorta distracting) for an exam, great place to hangout and do homework or read a book . Fast Wifi and bring your own mug for cheap coffee !

Place makes me proud to buy local. Fun games, awesome food, and great calming atmosphere . Never been more proud of Florida before.

Hipster coffee shop and my fave in Downtown. I love the vibe and the outside tables .

I used to go here sometimes but one of my friends felt they were rude to him once. Good place to hang out with friends or study.

Hipster cafe . Nice, independent coffeeshop with terrible service. Staff is usually too cool to wait on you, but the coffee & food is really good.

it has gotten much better over the summer and the servers are not up up in your business like the other place nearby.

Be sure to say hi to Stubs, the one legged sparrow.

Went in and grabbed a cider and my friends who are locals got espresso and hot chocolate for their kids. The hot chocolate was poorly made, the cider and espresso was ok but service sucked

Hipster place , good coffee but has a dark feeling overall. Left to Starbucks after 30 minutes

I am all about supporting local business but this place has some serious problems. The staff is extremely rude, the coffee sucks, and it's more expensive than Starbucks.

Yay... prob. won't be back here again. Staff is rude.
