The Thanasis kebab is a MUST. Delicious and very popular with the locals which is great. You can tackle one each for sure and it's pretty reasonable prices.

One of the best places in Athens/Monastiraki to get pita souvlaki . Affordable, delicious and juicy. Either sit outside at one of the tables or grab it to go and eat it in the centre of Monastiraki.

A very classic street restaurant . Excellent Kebabs whether sandwich (2 euros) or plate with some salad or the famous yoghurt and tomato sauce .. Not that expensive with very quick service .

Believe me,as a Greek who has eatten tons of soyvlaki in my life this is by no means the best kebab in town.Avoid both Thanasis and Bairaktaris and go spend your money somewhere else

Spicy chili peppers are spicy and freshly roasted. Seasoned well . The chicken souvlaki is all white meat and tastes great!
