Mount Wilson Observatory

Wonderful collection of multiple telescopes and observatories . Lots of history and some amazing view over LA and the San Gabriel’s. Very cool on days when they are open.

The tours to the public are weekend-only during the school year, and so worth taking to see the 100" telescope .

Very morning walk to the top bring plenty of water and make sure you check to see if the snack bar is open at the top as sometimes it's closed

Official check-in for top of Mount Wilson as there is no cell signal at the top

Hike up to Mt. Wilson from Chantry Flat and back for a fun 13-14 mile hike
