Nice hike , great views . Don't bother climbing the stairs to top of the monument - tiny windows prevent you from seeing anything.
nice easy trail up the west side of lake marcia from the beach parking takes you past shoreline picnic clearings to the base of the hill leading to the monument
rocky trail up the east side of lake marcia is more fun, climbing over boulders and rockslides
It is New Jersey 's highest point with an amazing view . Summer/Fall should be the perfect time to visit!
New Jersey residents with an NJ License Plate and/or Driver's License may enter the park at half price when the park charges for vehicular entry! (Last I checked: $5.)
Wonderful camping . Nice facilities around sawmill lake .
This would be a great place to stargaze if they let you in at night.
The colors marking the trails don't correspond to the trail map from the visitors center.
Such a beautiful view
Do not feed the bears ! Pack up your food and trash before you go to bed. Bears are dangerous wild animals.
