We've been here a couple times to catch dinner and a show and have been happy with the experience each time! Shrimp and grits were very tasty & the upstairs venue space is intimate and inviting.
One of my favorite bars , they have pbr decorations as far as the eye can see, great specials and live jazz on Fridays and Saturdays!
The chicken was phenomenal. Asparagus dish with cured salmon was a bit overdone and disparate. Cocktails gin and tonic made with local barrel aged gin was amazing!
Sit at the bar and try a local brew . I loved the Walt Wit . Great spot to drink while someone else in holding your place in line at Beddia.
has it all - pool table , great beer list , wonderful food and live music . one of my favs in the whole city .
Johnny Brenda's is something to everyone. Home of educational IGNITE PHILLY . A bar for beer enthusiasts. A stage for indie music lovers. Or sometimes, where you'll catch D20, geekiest burlesque around
Saturday 5.13.17 It's the Year 1999 UPSTAIRS at Johnny Brenda's w/DJs Emynd & Bo Bliz hosted by Reef the Lost Cauze $7 cover all night!!
Crispy chicken sandwich was awesome the beer on tap is delicious and our server was one of the best I've ever had because of his personality and insight on the menu.

It still looks like a '60s watering hole, but the great local beers and tasty (if limited selection of) Mediterranean-style tapas reflect an exciting new spirit in the neighborhood . Read more
Such a small, intimate venue that's never overly packed to the brim. Great acoustics and fun crowds. My favorite music venue in Philly.
Great small show space. Good brews and good food. Service and crowd can be hit-or-miss. Best on low key weekdays and some weekends.
I've eaten cheeseburgers in many cities on four continents and this is still my favorite. I'll say it - World's best cheeseburger
I had the Holy Grail. Oysters where very fresh. Nice selection of Beers . I went at the beginning of Happy Hour 4-6 p.m
One of the best music venues for sound quality I've been to....and I've been to many! Very impressed with the staff and kit!
Treat the beer menu like a to-do list and then head to the balcony upstairs to catch a better view of local bands . There's also a secret bar up there with shorter lines .
If you're looking for a larger menu this isn't your place. That being said what's on it is gr8. Try the eggplant parm sandwich w/ mozzarella . Eggplant is fried perfectly. You won't be disappointed.
You can’t beat a rock club that serves individual fresh oysters for $2.50 each and includes a half-price raw bar for happy hour every weekday. The kitchen serves seasonal specials and sources locally.
Falafel is sad portion. Just three baby falafels :( but friends got burgers and loved them! Good beer .
Great happy hour and oysters on the half shell out of an open kitchen . Music venue upstairs.
The ham and Swiss omelette is bangin. If you're here on Saturday and Sunday for brunch , it's a must have.
It's the Year 2004 UPSTAIRS on Saturday March 25th w/DJs Emynd & Bo Bliz hosted by Reef the Lost Cauze. $7 cover doors at 9pm

The $3 beer tastes way better than $3. It's an IPA . I forget the name. Trust me on this one.
Pretty much everything is great here. One of my favorite places to eat in Philly

One of the best venues in the city . Definitely a "do not miss." Beer and food are always on point, too.
No tvs in sight, and the coolest vibe in town . The live shows and the great food are just a bonus
Great place to drink some beer & get a great meal. Metal shows upstairs such as Marduk & Black Anvil but you have to pick your nights. The dudes from Rumpelstiltskin Grinder can often be found here
Good burgers and fries , broad but shallow selection of beers
Craft beer , fantastic food. You will not be disappointed with the environment here.
Awesome bar and venue in fishtown with local beers . Bands also play here
The side of Brussels Sprouts (fried with walnuts ) is amazing
If you're vegetarian try the Mushroom Pappardelle , it's big, tender and juicy, worth every penny.
I love that this menu changes frequently. There's always something good here...I usually go for the falafel
Try the spicy chilaquiles , smoked trout salad , the $7.50 rib platter, and of course the boozy whiskey doughnuts . Great spot for brunch . Read more
Nice spot for billiards and beers downstairs and live music acts upstairs
IF they have chicken & dumplings soup on the menu, get it! The most amazing soup ever, sadly they don't make it every day
One of the best places to see a live show in the city .
Good Beer selection , good food ,and one of the best intimate music venues in the city .
For concerts , head to the balcony where the sound is actually louder and crisper. Plus you get your own bartender .
Great place for live music , not a great place to eat. Their menu (written on a chalkboard on the wall) is super vague and too pricey .
Great DJs downstairs, great bi-level music venue upstairs, extensive craft beer selection and...oysters !
Mmmmmm the mango habanero beer was the most insane experience my mouth has ever had.
A fantastic bar/restaurant/music venue located in the heart of Fishtown.
I ride by this place all the time & never went I see all the good reviews & may have to stop in
Late night food choice. Great drinks and specials.
Over a dozen local beers on tap (rotating), including a couple of hand-drawns. Start hand-drawn then follow your fancy . Heaven for beer and indie music lovers.
If u r hungry, order the Cubano ! Hands down, the best you'll ever have.
Amazing food and dessert ! The whiskey donut was epic!
