Vegies and farm 's products are usually cheaper than Coles and Woolies are. Not to mention there're way more interesting things to try here such as popcorn , savoury food...
A lot of it is pretty mediocre, but the German bakery folk are excellent, and do not miss the gluten-free donuts !
Make sure you save some room when visiting for all the unique foods...
Fresh produce . Bagels are my favourite.
Wednesday farmers market . Sausages , gnocchi ... buy one of everything.

There are very few stalls that sell certified organic produce . It's not automatically better just because it's at an open air market .
Food is not much cheaper but plenty and fresh

Excellent market, every 2nd Saturday from 6am till noon. Fruit, veg, meat, seafood, cakes, coffee... yum! There's also a playground for dogs at the Lamington St end. - N
