Park on North Mountain Avenue. It's free for all daylight hours. Then you can cut through Johnson's pasture and that makes the trail 7.4 miles

Bring water snacks and dress in layers. It's a challenge for the novice like me but so beautifully awesome. H

Nice! For a quick 5 mile hike right at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains this is a good spot!

Rayn Duma

Let's show a little courtesy to others and not walk in a row spanning 6 people effectively blocking joggers/runners/cyclist or anyone with a pace faster then a walk from ascending or descending.

The address above- 2166 N Mills Ave- is a private residence. Why this is listed as the address for a wilderness trail , I do not know. Anyway, 5 miles of dirt road , nothing much to see. One and done.

One of the better trails in the 909 area. There is a plateau around the 2-3 mile mark where you can slightly rest from the uphill trek. Do this backwards. Read more

5.5 mile up and down hill loop from lower parking lot . This trail is quite a workout. There are offshoots that can increase length and difficulty depending on your level. Good for mountain bikes ,

Nice wide trail . Can be crowded and the parking fee is annoying.

Parking is $3 and the lot gets full fast. You can on Mill Ave a mile from the trail .

Go left for the steeper climb first; Right to do the more gradual climb to the top of the loop.

Great place to get your walk on in the Inland Empire. Be warned, West Loop needs you to be in shape or else you'll be hurting. Read more

If you take the left side the last leg of your hike will be shaded! It's hiking delayed gratification...

Is there a way to find out if Claremont Loop is opened or not? I've been there a couple of times to discover it's closed.
