Rembrandt's The Night Watch is an amazing painting to see in person. This museum allows people to take pictures of the art ! Just no flash!

The Nightwatch - obviously.. But there is so much more to see. Download the app to your phone, as the app has all the formal audio tours and you save money! I recommend minimum 2 hrs to visit..

Enter the gardens for free (toilets for free inside too), but take your time to watch the great pieces of art inside. If you tend to visit more than 3 museums in a year: ask for a 'museumkaart'.

There are the must see Vermeer’s and the Nightwatch but make sure you go to the special exhibits in the basement . The family game is a good way to engage the kids in the exhibits (well some of them).

A wonderful museum , full of art and history. Don't forget to buy your ticket priorly through web and skip the line . Get your comfortable shoes , and start walking in the museum .

Must see! The extra fee to join the intro tour is absolutely worth it! So much to see and the tour gives you a better perspective, specially if you’re short on time.

If Van Gogh museum is crowded , Rijks has a quite number of his paintings here, including masterpieces from Rembrandt, Rubens , Brueghel, Avercamp, etccc

The small café on the first floor has DELICIOUS brownies . There is also free Wifi , the art is impressive and I wish I had read before that there is an app and hadn't paid the 5€ for the audio tour .

The Rijksmuseum is dedicated to art en history. It's also the largest art and most visited museum of the Netherlands. You will find masterpieces of Rembrandt, Frans Hals and Johannes Vermeer in here.

This place is enormous so it's good to decide before what you'd like to see as you simply can't manage everything. The 1700 century art (including Rembrandt and Vermeer) is a must!

A rich architectural museum ,there are four floors filled with the works of many great Dutch & foreign artists.The exhibits all have descriptions and interesting facts on the side. It's huge,plan ahead

Well how to sum this place up, it's a beautiful building which is full of beautiful artworks. You need to be here at 9am or you will have to queue, this place is rightly popular.

Get your ticket online or be prepared to queue for literally two hours to get in ???????? Avoid the busiest hours (11am-3pm)???? The place is overcrowded inside, you won't be able to enjoy 'The Night Watch '

Start from the top floors, I believe it makes the going around easier. Photos are oddly allowed - even with flash! - and the personnel is very friendly . Looks bigger than it is. Focus on the Dutch.

You don't need a ticket to visit the cafe . The coffee is delicious and reasonably priced. It's a great spot to take a rest and people watch .

This museum is in a truly amazing building. Exploring the museum is so much fun. It's a fascinating look into Dutch history. It's much more than old paintings ! Be sure to see the doll houses!

A must while you are in the city is seeing the pieces of art made by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Frans Hals and countless more Dutch Masters . My favorite is definitely “De Nachtwacht” by Rembrandt van Rijn.

Not only you will see one the largest collection of masterpieces of the Dutch Golden Era but you will enjoy the fine architecture . Bonus: 4 Vermeer's side by side, including the Milkmaid.

in your Amsterdam trip you should really go Rijks. Really nice structure , too many items to see like paintings and others. But there is only little of others. Mostly paintings ofc. it takes half a day

Focus on European painting (some other stuff too) you must see the Rembrandt. Good museography all works have description and a curious fact. Stained glass on 3rd floor is a special photo spot .

If you don't have the time or the patience to see the entire museum , at least visit the 2nd floor. This is dedicated to the 17th century, the Dutch Golden Age, and is the highlight of the museum .

A lovely selection of paintings from the Dutch masters through the ages. Wonderful examples of 17th century cabinets & antiquities . Don't wait in line for the coat check , use the lockers €1!

Great Rembrandt collection, if you have time - have a look at less popular works of Dutch artists - you will be surprised with the style and technique. The hall with dolls' houses is a must visit.

Phenomenal collection of Dutch history and art . It's easily worth a visit, but make sure that you get here early if you want to see Rembrandt's Night Watch - the crowds are insane. 

You need at least 3h to only visit most popular periods. Gardens (in front and back) are amahzing - chill here even if not visiting museum . Entry is free and they are open until 18h.

The Late Rembrandt exhibition was excellent, and the Van Gogh and Vemeer paintings were gorgeous. Can't wait to go back and spend more time there.

Would recommend leveraging the audio guide to navigate through the rooms with its designed route, but pause the audio to read each room’s descriptions bc the guide only focuses on individual paintings

Impressive museum , totally worth your time. Try going early so you don't get long lines and make sure you don't miss any rooms, as there are quite a few detours with extra exhibits .

Just everything, everything is great (the collection, the architecture , the coffee and coffee corners, the shop,...). Paradise on earth!

The quality of the museum is awesome but It was extremely crowded when I visited so it was tiresome and not so good.

It worths to visit this huge and beautiful museum to know about Amsterdam history and culture and its influencers

1. Make sure you pack enough time when you visit, the exposition is huge and you can spend hours on one flour.2. If you are planning to visit other museums , by the 'museumkaart'.

Wonderful items carefully preserved and well presented. Impressive building too. The iPhone app will take you through the exhibition , all you need is your phone and headphones.

Beautiful selection of pre-modern art !I recommend going earlier in the day, as later on in the afternoon, it gets more stuffy and crowded , and each wing fills up with lots of foot traffic.

Obviosly a must! Renovations look great and collection is amazing! If you're in a hurry- skip 1st and 3rd floor, nothing too significant there, but 2nd floor is a must! Say hi to Rembrandt from me

The Netherland‘s hoard of Old Master paintings . Inside the museum you must queue for a time slot to see Vermeers, Rembrand‘s master pieces!

Book online in order to not to wait the line . Spare a full day because it is really big. Definitely worth to see.

Have a rough plan using the museum website, or you could easily lose a whole day wandering through the art . Or maybe that is what you want to do!
