Spectacular piece of lovely Saint Petersburg in Amsterdam. The concept of this place is similar to Louvre's branch in Abu Dhabi: much smaller than original museum , but still nice to spend some time.
The Russian Hermitage has several international branches, the one in Amsterdam is the largest and it is housed in a beautiful, classic architectural building. Book tickets online to avoid queues.
The "Dining with Tsars" expedition is short interesting and beautiful. Lots of trivia about their balls,if you like the pre-revolution Russia it is ideal!
Touching the courtyard of Hermitage being Saint Petersburg 's nice cutie little branch is like joining back to Jewish peaceful dreams quite cozy and simply beautiful..
If you are up for some history, this museum is all about the relationship between Amsterdam and St. Petersburg. The temporary exhibitions are great... Read more

Very beautiful museum showing a huge collection from the Hermitage in St. Petersburg.
Another great museum with various collections to explore! The courtyard is a great place to relax , have drink and read a book !
Amazing exhibition on 1917 - although crowded on a Sunday morning and even slightly claustrophobic. But worth the while.
The museum is a sister institution with the St Petersburg Hermitage. Nice program of exhibition connecting West and East culture
Beautiful museum , not too crowded , and just the perfect size - doesn't exhaust while leaving with many positive impressions
Very nice museum . If you have the museumjaarkaart you can print out your entrance ticket yourself at the left when you enter the hall. Saves time :)
Fabulous building and a great exposition about Catherine the great !
Great exhibition of Van Gogh and other great impressionist artists . Very educational and well presented. Love it!
Good exhibitions ! I'm a typical museum hater as I think its boring. But this one is nice and interesting!
Fantastic Silk Road exhibit . There are a lot of artifacts , paintings , and rugs with helpful blurbs for historical context.
If you catch a sunny day it's nice to enjoy it after your visit in the patio inside or on the canal just in front of the museum .
Don't forget to take your Iamsterdam card with you - it can also help you avoid waiting in a long line !. Don't forget to visit the gift shop !
Great place! Do not miss to visit!
First thing you should do is go up the stairs and eat the apple crumble cake . Delicious!
Great art and beautiful building, not the Rijksmuseum but worth the visit
" good way to get a sense of Amsterdam’s centuries-old charitable works. Manageable size makes it perfect for a break from sightseeing or for a relaxing afternoon." Read more
I've been there for Vincent and Peter. Vincent is overrated while the exhibition on Aleksandar the Great was good. Come early or you will have very long waiting times.
Enjoyed the "The Romanovs and the 1917 Revolution" exhibition on it's last day. Very well done.
It has rotating exhibitions so look up what's on, first. Or just show up, it's bound to be interesting.
Go early and avoid the crowds at this great museum
They should get more registers and ticket machine, ridiculous lines to get in! Nice museum but expensive in comparisom to musea through Europe
Great place with a range of exhibitions
The cafe is very cool and serves great apple pie
EUR 17.50 admission fee is outrageous. The art is fantastic but this price makes it one of the most expensive in the world. Not sure it's that good
Amazing Romanov 's exposition
It is a great building and wonderfull expositions
One of the Best Museum of Amsterdam
Napoleon exhibition is well worth a look.
Dont waste your time unless there's a special exhibition or you have special interest
Architecture and great expositions

Buy the tickets online or at hotel and you will not have to que
Pay extra attention on detail and colour of the paintings with King Willem II and his wife Anna Paulowna. Visit Cafe Restaurant Neva at the first (1) floor afterwards.
The Impressionists exhibition is okay but I still find the museum over-priced and over-hyped.
Besides the changing exhibitions you can also tour the building and learn more about its history. It's quite interesting. Read more
sure that even if no similarity with Russia seemed to be fabulous excibition
Great time.
This is definitely NOT something young people are used to. Not for me even though not bad at all
What a terrible waste of time and money. The Silk Road exhibit was boring beyond words and the permanent exhibit about the building was small and only mildly interesting.
great exhibitions , beautifull building and a lot of old stuff (also the visitors)
Don't forget the museumshop!! Nice stuff and also good presents!!
Simply wonderful
Outrageously expensive for what they have on display. Staff arrogant. Give them a passand spend your dough elswhere.
Restaurant Neva at the museum has a great menu and friendly staff

Well-curated exhibitions for those who love photography. In contrast to the big museums, nice and compact. Located in a beautiful historic building - already that is worth a visit in itself. - Ieva
