The Phoenix

It's not often a pub can make the earth move. Abuzz with friendly banter and offbeat charm, you'll find The Phoenix benefits from more than just good vibrations from the throng of trains below. Like its mythical namesake, this quirky venue rose from the flames of the great Denmark Hill Station fire.

Small upstairs area overlooking the bar via the spiral staircase in the corner. Comfortable sofa seating to escape to for a bit of privacy to read, work or relax.

Sunday evening: no cider , no Chardonnay , no roasts, no normal menu at all.. very limited. It's a lovely looking pub too, so was disappointing.
