The only "diner" part of this place is the physical space it's in. In the best way too. Great food/drinks. Come early during the week to shave off your wait time. It's worth it.

Eater

The specials are the dishes to order at Diner (and yes, the servers still write them down on the table), but you can always get the excellent burger and a serious steak , too. Read more

So it might not be the greatest food always, but it’s a vibe and sometimes their ever changing menu has amazing dishes. The duck confit was bomb.com

Even if there's a long wait for a table, the chances that you can immediately snag bar seats for 2 are pretty high. The cheeseburger is top notch, as are the fries that come with it.

Peter Cucè

New York-y and just pretentious enough to be appealing. A small, ever-changing menu of farm to table , seasonal, organic , delicious simple food. They have their own butcher , bake their own bread .

Ish Rai

Great little place in Williamsburg, serving a different menu daily. Menu is small but amazing with intricate flavours for each dish. Also they serve a nice Mexican cola (low sugar) tastes so good!

Nicola

wonderful place to come and enjoy a Sunday brunch of weekdays too. ask for the daily courses. wonderful grass-fed meats including on of the best hamburgers around NYC. great Bloody Mary .

Epicurious

Housed in a converted dining car, it simply feels to good to eat here. The chefs are just as talented with vegetables as they are with the restaurant 's grass-fed burger & large-format steak selection. Read more

Different menu every time, and I've never had a meal hat was less than excellent. I may be bused because I live so close but I think this is he best restaurant in Brooklyn by far

Andrew Dumont

My favorite breakfast spot in Williamsburg. The menu rotates, but if it's there, get the poached eggs over polenta . Incredible.

Phillip Bowden

lmao if you think Diner isn't amazing.

Alissa Simmons

Vintage meets gourmet in this streetcar style diner and bar . You'll get things like delicious burgers , house potato chips , and a gourmet menu that's new daily. Last time there was rabbit bolognese !

Kristina

Lovely diner with great grass-fed burger ! Delicious food in a retro interior. #ps you won't be able to stop eating the self made ketchup . Best I've ever had

AmateurConcierge

The crowd, staff , railcar ambience & food all smack of Williamsburg. great place to intro oldies to the Burg. The fact that there's no menu and waitresses write nightly selections on the table...

Tobias Otte

Amazing place for brunch or dinner . You might miss it since you don't see any signs. A bit expensive but definitely worth the money. They change the menu every week. You can't go wrong.

Skyler Dobin

Cozy ambiance and the menu changes daily (so your server will walk you thru it as she writes it on your table). Good date spot with great food.

Stina P.

one of the best burgers in all of new york. for dinner , the staff writes the menu on the table as they tell it to you

Chad Woodford

Don't be fooled by the minimalist menu. The food is delicious and complex. Try the donut holes and the poached eggs . And the bacon .

Kathleen

honestly I think diner is a bit over-rated. good food, don't get me wrong... but if you think this place is good you should really try esme, river Styx in greenpoint. even better.

Jean-Philip Grobler

Best burger in Brooklyn! Also, very inventive farm to table menu that changes daily and great natural wine selection & cocktails .

Noah Weiss

Any poached egg special of the day is going to be delicious. The one I tried with sauteed watercress and pancetta white bean puree on country toast was fantastic.

Paula Bendfeldt-Diaz

Best place to eat at In Williamsburg. Menu changes constantly. Food is fresh and its a great spot to people watch . Sun in the patio .

Anna Brown

This place is LEGIT!! Menu changes daily with lots of options. Went to Diner for lunch and Sunday brunch , and was fantastic both times. Such a cool spot! Try it!!

Jane Crypto

Loved this place, setting is super cute and cozy and the food was delicious!

Jen Berg

Brunch specials kill it. Start with the donuts and get the steak and eggs if you can. I will not stop coming here until I've had it all.

Noah Weiss

If you don't end your brunch with one of their homemade , sugar encrusted scones with clotted cream , you should reconsider why you ever sat down for brunch in the first place.

The Corcoran Group

Dine in an old-style diner with amazing fresh local food. The menu changes constantly. Space is at a minimum, so be prepared to wait.

Liz Tan

Chicken sandwich all the way! Wish they would put it on the regular menu! Fantastic Bloody Mary and burger as well .

Ryan Matzner

Don't be fooled by the name. This is some of the best food in the entire city . I eat here every chance I get.

Joshua Keay

My favorite burger in New York. But basically everything is amazing. The only problem is that the poor waitstaff has to write he menu on the tablecloth every time.

Angela Wen

Everything on the menu is fantastic and the decor is cute and cozy . Try the skinny burger as alternative to the regular burger , so good!!

Charlottes

What a great place! Great vibe, delicious food (I highly recommend carrot app and strip steak ) and friendly service . You couldn't be anywhere else.

Time Out New York

The key is the house-butchered, grass-fed meat: The plump patty of short rib , chuck and round has an iron-y tang intensified by a proper sear on the grill. (Critics' Pick) Read more

Ceasar salad and burger are automatics. Vibe is cool and great food. Rotating menu but everything was good.

Village Voice

The food is simple yet surprising, with selections ranging from a kickass burger to grilled turnips and seared amberjack. Read more

Their menu changes everyday, and all of their food is sourced from farmers markets in the morning. The food is eclectic and interesting, and always amazing. A great brunch spot in an old train car.

Alison Gresham

Splurge on the pulled pork dish with fried eggs . You won’t regret it. The bloody Maria was also delish.

Rebecca Gishkariany

Menu changes everyday, but if the rabbit and bacon meatballs are available get them. One of the most flavorsome appetizers I've ever tasted. Delicious!

Justin Dean

One of the only brunches in the city that competes w/ it's dinner menu . Both often surprise. It changes, don't hesitate to ask what the portion sizes are, they can be tricky about it.

Condé Nast Traveler

“It's in our own backyard and, yeah, the burger 's great, but Andrew Tarlow quietly invented a food movement that's been pretty special here for more than 15 years.” - Matt Duckor Read more

Great diner, perfect for a weekend brunch . The menu changes regularly but it's always spot on! Don't miss the pancakes !

Eduardo Godinho

The place is a old train wagon. They type the menu in the table. I went for the famous burger and was a nice option. Very good food.

Cute retro diner meets upmarket fares. Delicious swordfish and pork tenderloin ! You should always make room for the flourless cake . Magnifique!

Udi Rubin

The trout fish was amazing one of the best fish dishes I ever had. Elegant and tasty. The burger worth a visit too. Cool atmosphere

Kev Skinny

Bring some friends and make sure you have some money in your account. Different menu nightly. Try everything and you will regret nothing. Drink heavily to soften the blow when the check arrives.

Nicole Formica

Great brunch with an ever-changing menu every day. Snag a spicy Bloody Mary .

Aaron Allon

The burger is phenomenal...perhaps the best in NYC. This place is hands down my favorite place to eat in NYC.

Blair Mikels

The scone with cherries and cream is delectable, as are the egg specials. Perhaps Williamsburg's most dependable brunch resto.

Josh Mateo

If they're serving Buckwheat Pancakes , you MUST order them. Perfection. And sit at the bar/counter if you don't want to wait for a table.

Eater

An aluminum-sided greasy spoon. The food is excellent, the vibe is pitch-perfect Williamsburg, and while supplies last, their rib-eye steak is as good as anything at Peter Luger. [Eater 38 Member] Read more
