Fun fishing spot I've been going to for ages with my dad and brother - the island is fun to explore - you'll find crazy things! Lots of sheepies (sheep-head) but also pike, muskie, and bass!

Ring the bell if you don't have a radio , and they'll open it right up for your craft. Also, ask for a line and they'll throw one way and be sure to tie or hang on at the center or your boat!

HISTORY

The 1st facility opened in 1917. In 2007 the gates were adjusted to lower the water level of the Mississippi by 2 ft to assist in the recovery efforts of the victims of the I-35W bridge collapse.
