Not wheelchair-accessible or stroller-friendly. Leave the under 3 children at home unless you want to carry them. Incredibly detailed and fascinating ship models in a beautiful, richly historic home .
Everything is awesome here. There is so much history and so many things I learned about Savannah's maritime history.
Best money I've spent in savannah. The place is not only breathtaking , full if art and history. But the staff is beyond helpful, professional and full of knowledge . I highly recommend it.
I got married at Ships of the Sea in May 2015 and absolutely love this museum and the grounds and gardens . Such a gem in downtown Savannah!
Wonderful models and paintings of historic ships with ties to Savannah, as well insights to the life of a sailor.
Models are so detailed...really uped the viewing experience
http://ow.ly/6nJog Ships of the Sea Museum features exhibits of ship models , paintings , and maritime antiques principally from the great era of Atlantic trade during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Beautiful gardens and such interesting information- must like boats :)
Completed as a home and entertainment residence for William and Julia Scarbrough in 1819, it is one of the few buildings left in Savannah designed by William Jay.<aclass="entity url"rel="nofollow" href="http://www.architecturalsavannah.com"target="_blank" data-sig="OSO//vOZkWq5yn4GlS53dausIAs=" onmousedown="fourSq.ui.OutgoingLink.mousedown($(this), event)" data-source="tip-text">www.architecturalsavannah.com</a>

Smaller but excellent museum with spacious galleries and docents available to answer questions. - Josh Gellers
What a great roundhouse museum. You get 3 days on the $10 donation (adult) $4 kids. My 2 1/2 year old son loved climbing in the cars and the model train exibit. Very nice. Plan to come back. - Brandy
