Amazing restaurant !!! Amazing food, amazing environment, amazing staff ! I had a delicious onion soup . Then I ordered the Father's Spare Ribs (€15) to share. It was more than enough for two. Must go!!!
Delicious Dutch food !! The menu for 2 is so good and you can taste 3 traditional dishes . The place is beautiful with photos of mothers around the world and the service couldn't be more friendlier :-)
Amazing service. The traditional Dutch menu for two is sensational. It's a collection of Dutch classics and it was very very good. The most authentic and best Restauraunt in Amsterdam.
I recommend to visit this place. There are framed pictures of mothers (=moeders) all around walls and you can bring your own, mother or picture:) they serve dutch meals and it was really nice.
The restaurant is beautiful, every inch of the walls covered with pictures of Mothers ❤️. They serve many authentic Dutch dishes so try the suggested variety plates. Pea soup was amazing.
Such an interesting place.. if you are not a dutch and want to feel like eating a food prepared by a dutch mother this is the place. I recommend the sampler plate so you can get a bite of everything
This place is the real deal. Book in advance if you can. Enjoy the warm and friendly staff and of course mother's cooking. I really liked the stamppot with the broiled beef . And the Mamas Hapas.
The lobster soup & the Dutch rice dish Who would’ve thought those little pots would hold so much food. Three different kinds of potatoes sausage & gravy apple sauce red cabbage & bacon ! SOO DELICIOUS
The food is superb, tasty, plentiful and homely. No pretences, the cutlery and crockery don't match. There are pictures of people's mothers all over the walls, can get busy as very popular
Very speciale place. Special dishes coming from the dutch tradition. Very kind staff who explain very well the menu of the day , we tried the mix at 19,50€ with 3-4 different plates and it was awesome.
Their Sudervlees was really good and hefty. It goes with red cabbage and potatoes . SOOO YUMMY!!! Love the apple pie as well ! Price-wise I would say it's not bad!
The fish of the day is always a winner, as is their carpaccio , spare ribs , and hotchpotch (a thick stew with vegetables and meat). A main will set you back 15-20 euros but it’s worth the price!
if you wanna try the typical dutch food , this is the place for you. everything is delicious and the decoration is really nice. i totally recommend it!
Sweet concept, kitschy interior and a hearty authentic Dutch menu. Good service as well . The food is good; not outstanding or worth writing to your mother about, but it's good.
Classic Dutch cuisine, home cooked , at good prize. Especially considering that the portions are huge! You can easily share with your date.
The ambient is great and the service is on top of it. Good food as well . Had the lentil soup and carpaccio , and a cappuccino to top it off!
Generous servings of homemade style food including traditional Dutch home cooking . Lots of photos of mums of all shapes and sizes adorn the walls. Make a booking , or walk-in outside peak hours.
Fantastic little Dutch restaurant . Excellent service and brilliant food. Great value too. Make sure you book . Very highly recommended!
Definitely get the sampler plate . We had the best pea soup there. Staff is lovely and the place has a nice homey feel.
Loved our dinner here. Wonderful to try authentic food and now I want to learn to make this cuisine as well !
The food is delicious, the portions generous and the service is very quick, out orders arrived in a surprising 10 minutes or less! This place is definitely a "must" when in Amsterdam.
Real dutch food , but you can also have a good steak (dutch format), and the "Lamb spies" is to die for. Bring a framed picture of your mother!
Mama's Happas, Salmon , Crema Catalana , Cheesecake . Sit outside, it's a lovely and floral place. I had a good time during a summer sunset in Amaterdam.
Amazing decoration! Note that all plates, glasses and clutery don't match! That's because they are from the customers of the openning of Moeders.
Famous for serving traditional Dutch cuisine. Small place filled with portraits of people’s mothers (feel free to add to their collection!) with outdoor seating in the summer.
Friendly staff . Large portions !! Rustic Dutch cuisine. Definitely worth a try. Decor is awesome, loaded with pictures of their customers' mothers. Very homey feel.
WHY THERE: Dutch cuisine, tasty interior. DISHES: great. STAFF : decent & friendly . LOCATION: close to mainstream (convenient) PRICES: higher average (reasonable)
If you want to try dutch cousine, Moeders (=Mothers) is the best place to go. I recommend to make a reservation ahead, it is always full! :)
The best value is the Dutch sampler for two, where you can sample a heaping of traditional Dutch food , including lots of potatoes , cabbage , and meat.
Amazing dutch food .. Definitely make a reservation before you visit.. Must do in Amsterdam even if you are there for a day!!
For a sample of different types of traditional Dutch food , get the Dutch Ricedish . Delicious, but be warned: it's a HUGE amount of food.
Good taste of Dutch food . I recommend the Ricedish as you can try a bit of all the dishes. The atmosphere was also really nice.
Get the Dutch sampler. One of the best dining experiences I've ever had in this city .
Classic Dutch comfort food . Get here right when they open if you don't have a reservation . Try the stamppot for sure!
Cozy , nice place, with good Dutch food . Not many vegetarian options , but that's a common issue with Dutch food . Great service!
Fantastic atmosphere, typical Dutch food and lovely staff . For these reasons, the place's always packed, make sure you have your reservation !
Cozy , nice place, with good Dutch food . Not many veg options , but that's a common issue with Dutch food . Great service!
Traditional Dutch cuisine in a very cozy setting. Suddervlees would make a good choice to discover local food! ????
such good comfort food ...very very good and will go back...make a reservation
Very good Dutch food , very friendly staff , cozy ambiance . They have tasting dishes, recommended! Sizes are reasonably big.
Bring your mom here! Or any mon you can find : ) she will love it, you will love it, everyone loves it❤️
The spot to bring visitors for authentic dutch food . But dishes are heavy and taste mediocre at best. Stamppot isn’t flavorful. Ribs are a bit better. Staff isn’t particularly attentive or friendly .
Cozy , full of people, food is tasty but quite simple, serving speed is relatively high even with crowd of people. Wifi pass is moeders10 but it does not work.
A homely, quirky place decorated from floor to ceiling with pictures of people's mothers. Service spot on. Food solid. An experience.
Fantastic! Try the Dutch Ricedish (Min. 2 persons) for a typical Dutch meal. It is a combination of all the Dutch specialities they serve.
It was a very nice dinner ! We spent great time at moeders! Kind of mother's photo collage on every wall. Also great service!
Authentic and tasty Dutch food . Highly recommended
The hachee is outstanding! Cute Dutch diner covered in pictures of mothers .
always make a reservation this is not a big place but a small quaint atmosphere like your mother’s kitchen hint the word MOEDERS. Walk in are accepted but not always guaranteed
Our best dining experience in Amsterdam. Very authentic . The good or not depends on if you like Dutch food :)
Ambiance is awesome; staff is lovely and menu is radical! All in the building where the Dutch decided to start New York City - P¡M Evers
Great bar with a fireplace, nice cosy atmosphere and variety of craft beers from their own microbrewery. Also they have a terrace - Aleksey Butskikh
Lovely atmosphere and awesome decoration. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great food! - Laurens Poelert
Book your tickets in advance online otherwise it's almost impossible to visit. A must do in Amsterdam. - Mike Williams
The historical heart of Amsterdam with plenty of interesting corners to explore - Enzo Martinelli
Apple pie is a must, meatballs and cheese as well. Nice breakfasts too and large terrace on Noordermarkt. - Elodie P.
