The multimedia show by Moment Factory is definitely a must-see (entertaining, yet educational )! Also, the temporary exhibits are very well designed (the current one on Marco Polo is no exception!).
It's a great museum to learn more about the history of Montreal , but they also have some amazing special exhibits on from time to time. The Aztec exhibit was one that was really well done.
Great museum . The main attraction is some Historic Foundations from Early Montreal & they have lots of artefacts which are well presented. You can learn a lot about Montreal's history here.
An expansive museum covering the surprising history of Montreal and then some. Interesting exhibits , great friendly staff . Allocate 2-3 hours at least and prepare to be engrossed
Went to see the Grec exhibition : from agamemnon to Alexander the Great and it was AMAZING. A little too crowded during the weekend a week day would leave you more time.
Great introduction to Montreal, a little bit of history, ruins, sewers, movies and lots of artifacts . #mustsee
The Pirates exhibition was fun even if it was aimed at kids. The Italians in Montreal exhibition was informative.
The museum is integrated into an archaeological site that allows you explore ruins. Also a clever pirates exhibit just for children.
Guided tours are free and worth every minute! Entertaining and enlightening!!!
The layout of this museum is complicated and confusing. I’m sure I missed quite a few exhibits and saw many things out of order.
Incredibly engaging and interesting museum . And deceptively massive. A must-see!
The multimedia presentation near the entrance is a must-see. This actual archaeological site is a perfect site for the museum .
The entrance is well worth the cost considering the quality of the guided tours . Take the guided tour !
Great place to understand the history of Montréal
Expensive, but the intro video gives a nice history of Montreal that makes you want to live there. Plus good view from 3rd floor.
Amazing architecture ...check out the view from the top!
Very cool Beatles exhibit , it's two floors though so be sure to see both
Watch the movie . See whatever the special exhibit is. Such a great introduction to Montreal
This is such a splendid museum . Treat yourself and visit,
Good place considering you are actually walking in the remaining of different buildings. Don't expect much though.
The cafe at the top has good views of the old port
Archeological remains in the basement are very cool.
The movie was innovative and great! Have to watch.
Put your sticker on the street sign on the way out.
Great history. Watch the movie
I found it very interesting but wasnt my favourite
Museum documenting the beginnings of Montreal.
Talking about the restaurant . Way too noisy for me, and no vegan food . Good cooking for conventional needs, but I wouldn't recommend for people who share values of quietness and sustainability
Interesting ruins but some of the other exhibits are hit or miss.
The tour is essential. The movie is, eh, okay - treat for the eyes, not for the intellect.
Watch the movie , don't skip it. The movie is excellent.
OMG I have never seen a movie so full of itself. Must've been paid for by the chamber of commerce. Skip, skip skip skip. You'll like Montreal more for it.
Realy expensive for that limited space
Overpriced and boring. Terrible movie . Don't go here, there are better things to do in Montreal.
Expensive and lame
If you're over 31, then boycott the museum , they discriminate against you by charging you can$22.00, but they charge the brats ages 13-30 can$15, because they think younger adults are more important.
Read more
// Archaeological exhibits that bring Montreal’s rich history to life . From Nouvelle-France to present day
