This is the only place in the DC Metro area I will voluntarily eat sushi after having been to Tsukiji Market in Tokyo. Ask for freshly grated wasabi and try the aji & torched mackerel in the fall.

Best sushi around. The sushi bar is the best seat in the house - the chefs take pride in their work and are happy suggest things to eat. If it's autumn, ask if they have the sanma (pike mackerel ).

Joanna Harkins

Best Japanese around, a little gem of McLean , I recommend the udon soups or the bento box ! Also, saw Ben Affleck here once while he was filming Argo!

Eleonora Figliuoli

This is truly a little-known gem of McLean with great prices for fresh, authentic sushi . My favorite dessert (and you have to ask for it) is the red bean mochi ice cream ???? ???? ????

There are actually people who've been coming faithfully to the same seats at the sushi bar , for more than 7 years, here. They have reserved placards and get handed special chopsticks. Kewl ...

The shrimp and vegetable tempura is the best I've ever eaten. The shrimp was consistently tender. Also, try the Monica roll and mango mochi . Best sushi place in DC area!

This is the only place in the DC Metro area I willingly eat sushi after Tsukiji Market in Japan. Legit!

Unfiltered sake . If you like hefeweizens - wheat beers like Blue Moon - you'll probably like your sake cloudy, too.

Katherine Garcia

The sushi is amazing! I'll go back to try more dishes! The menu is huge!

Really fresh awesome sashimi ! Excellent service too! Try the freshly grated wasabi , it's $2.50 but worth it!

Harry W

Sushi / sashimi combos are nearly 1/2 price at lunch . You get what you lay for. Skillful sushi chefs , generous portions . Worth every penny!

Dusk Dargent

Known for their sushi , but the udon is truly fantastic as well .

Mikki Barry

Best in the area. Uni here is the best

DMS

Make sure you ask to sit at the at the front adult bar . Does not have "most" tradition rolls, apps or salads . Whoever said best was sushi was WRONG.

Thomas Stanga

The sushi is what they are known for- but if you want to mix it up give the ramen an udon a shot.

Alice

Order the spicy scallop roll ; it's really good and has a subtle hint of heat.
