Probably the only stoner skater punk Chinese restaurant you'll ever go to. Their lunch combination is an insane deal, can easily feed two people. Highly recommend their Coconut Curry & Ginger Chicken

Nicole Lingner

Weiwuer lamb is delish, the sprinroll's are a super bang for the buck and I am a huge fried rice fan (want a huuuge egg omelet on top, make it a chairman style).

Some of the last remnants of Abbot Kinney's dream of a "Venice of America", lie in the Venetian-Style architecture of the columns here outside of Mao's Kitchen, Bank of Venice, Danny's Venice and more

Sasha Tkachenko

Everything is delicious! But don't try to taste everything at one time as we did! The portions are really huge.

Alex Pyatetsky

I hate American Chinese food . But this isn't that. Very good. 38 lamb and the country egg are both amazing. Amazing and open late . Not expensive .

Gökçe Ersoy

We got that ginger chicken and noodles . They were soooo big and so tasty! We loved the place. And the prices were reasonable!

Rob Blasko

Lunch specials during the week are a great value—entree, rice , soup/salad, eggroll for about $8.

Max Orgeldinger

Great attitude. Really good prices (especially for the area). Can definitely recommend the black beans .

Augustine V

Wow. The wonton soup was incredibly awesome. And that orange ginger chicken was on point!

Chrysanthe Tenentes

bike down the beach boardwalk with a bottle of wine in your bag. this place was byob when I used to go. tasty but healthy(ish) chinese food .

Andrew Dobson

Dan dan noodle was great. Huge portions . Could be a bit spicier but really tasty.

Justin McCammon

Love this place for takeout . Really tasty and not covered in oil or sauce.

Chung Ho

The rating is a lie - this is a very whitewashed asian restaurant . The food tastes alright and the lamb dish is good but it would be a stretch to call it authentic Chinese food .

Alex W

Long Life Beans, Lo Mein with Chicken and Kung Pao With Beef are excellent choices

Jon Sanchez

The food is really good, and fairly priced . We will be back.

Leo Virgo

I know you can have this at any other place, but the orange chicken is great here. And after trod-ding through Venice beach , the clean restroom is a definite plus.

Maricela Zapian

BBQ pork app and the sweet & sour chicken are amazing. Kung pow is fantastic too. Fantastic service.

Mike Preuss

The shrimp and broccoli dumplings are excellent as well as the staple orange chicken and homeade ginger ale

Markus Unterberger

I love Maos Kitchen. It's so good. I always get the Coconut Curry and I highly recommend it! They don't serve alcohol , but you can bring your own beer if you want. Read more

Mao's Kitchen is home to some of THE best noodles . Ever. Order the Dan Dan noodles . Trust me.

Shannon Hutchinson

Coconut curry w/ soft tofu and brown rice . Comes in a huge white bowl that dares you to finish it all. I also like the wonton tortilla-shaped chips they serve you as they seat you.

Erin Frankenheimer

Model Citizen Soup is so good and so large. Perfect for 2. And I love love love the barley tea .

Nick Ghizas

Coconut Curry with smoked tofu is the bomb over the brown rice .

Dan Buhler

Cheap food that’s open late . No complaints.

I should have known to walk out when they served the fried wonton appetizer . Not authentic at all. Potstickers ... Deep fried? WTF. Kung pao chicken is a stir fry with oyster sauce . FML.

joel degan

Hot and sour has tomatoes , but you will love it.

Christopher T

They deliver everywhere in Venice/SaMo/MdR but you can't order until 5pm!
