Venice Beach

Venice Beach is one of my favorite spots in Southern California, lots of energy, shops, excellent beach food, interesting people, and a variety of movies and shows filmed here.

By far the best beach in Los Angeles. A place where you can chill , people watch , see some amazing art and crafts and walk your dog. A place I call home. I love Venice!

Remnants of Kinney's 1904 vision for a western Coney Island with canals modeled on Venice, Italy. The beach is now a bastion of LA kitsch and some canals remain. Walk or skate & enjoy the spectacle!

go for the people watching aspect. very interesting, especially during tourist season. check out the shops on the boardwalk and grab a bite to eat

It's so fun to walk down Venice Beach and just look at people. It's so beautiful walking around and sit in the sand looking at the sunset .

It is a really great big sandy beach and the promenade is somewhere between Coney Island and Bondi. Kitsch with artists and vagrants on show. Worth spending time strolling and taking it all in.

a fun, grungy beach that represents a last vestige of sleazy American amusement. A lot of fun culture here, a constant guitar player on roller skates , boarding culture and drum circles every Sunday

It is a beautiful beach and invites for long walks in the sand and sea. Forget whatever disturbs you, and let go. Grab a coffee and some fruits and enjoy pure California feeling.

Great sandy beach with a broadwalk full of cafes , bars , street performancers, and some "Green" bars . There are lots of touristic shops. Ok to bike , rollerblade , play basketball or volleyball too.

Venice beach is timeless. The boardwalk has, and always has been, a melting pot for artists , and the eccentric , as well as modern trends. That way both types of people can enjoy themselves.

California's beaches got some unique, magical & flawless vibe. I love cold weather, so I really enjoy walking in the beach , there's a lot to do & see ❤️ boys & girls are beautiful ????????????????????

If you are in la you must go there..lot of street art ,graffiti ,sporty people,freak people mindless and easygoing..but i prefer to not stay after the sunset beacuse i dindt feel so safe

Venice has always been unique. Venice Beach is just the same: very colorful, a bit chaotic, and a lot of fun. If you can manage, a beachside stroll to Santa Monica is just what the doctor ordered.

Yes it’s very touristy however you will eat some delicious (and cheap ) poke while having a nice walk. Use sunscreen

Dirty , interesting, hopeless beach for the wanderers and the homeless. Keep your valuables at home!

So nice place to visit and experience the Californian beaches !, if you want to rent a bike a recommend you the place next to the tattoo shop they have electric bikes

Some of the best things about CA is found at this very beach . History, surfing , art , beautiful people, Palm trees , shopping. This is CA. I have been coming here my whole life.

Such a beautiful spot! However kind of crowded on Sunday but you'll be able to appreciate rollerblades and skate board all around.

Love this place. You can go along the beach with a bike , watch beautiful sun set, eat nice corn on the weekends. Parking at the beach is $6.

The beach and boardwalk hog might hog the headlines, but the canals of Venice are equally unmissable. Sadly, there are no gondoliers but it’s still a romantic place to explore.

Take a stroll by the surf all the way to Santa Monica Pier and back - best walk ever and you get a tan quicker this way ;)

If you're walking down the strip with your shirt on, you got it all wrong. Stop what you're doing, rip it off Hulk Hogan style and strut your stuff to people passing by, because you're in effing LA...

I've always loved this area and this beach since I first came here 20 years ago. It's such an interesting Mix of people and has a great history.

I love this place. Rent a bike and cycle down the Strand. Also check out the skatepark and muscle beach .

If you have an open mind about weird people, the people watching doesn't get much better. Great beach . Walk/bike the boardwalk and get some craft beers at Venice Ale House for sunset .

I believe men and women are able to do things equally well in this modern world. Except when it comes to wearing teeny bikinis.

Kind of quirky and with fun stores and restaurants . They really need to do something about the guys harassing people to buy their mix CDs, very rude and aggressive. Also way too many homeless people.

On the way to Venice Beach, you can see two of the best contemporary art galleries in the city : LA Louver, 45 N. Venice Blvd (park in free lot across the street), and L&M Arts , 660 S. Venice Blvd.

Tons of ways to enjoy the atmosphere. Nice beach , good surf , nice piers . Tons of shops, food, activities, rentals, and more.

Get a green doctor and get old fashion green therapy ;) never take an usb or cd from "local artists " they'll never let you go

Fun spot to people watch . Great place to take visitors because it has lots of culture, street vendors, entertainers, shops and restaurants .

Venice beach is where all the hippies roam. In saying that you got to check out all the hand crafted art works down the boardwalk.. I bet you'll find something amazing! I know I have!! <3Venice beach !

Absolutely beautiful scene..the street walk looking at the beach and enjoying the small local booths shops and restaurants , tropical and captivating.

Parking for the day is only $5 before 8 am! The Venice Whaler is the best place to catch the sunset and relax with a beer or cocktail

Sunday Drum Circle starting sometime around 4-5pm.. By sunset there are hundreds of people playing drums and dancing . If you're lucky the fire dancers and hoola hoops will be out!!

Sunset here is the most beautiful scene in the world! Head over to the south of the beach to see it even better from behind the rocks and waves.

Look for the Venice Pride Flag Lifeguard Tower repainted in rainbow colors by local artist Patrick Marston in June 2017.

A little dumpy and can get crowded but you definitely get a fun, nostalgic vibe. Rent a bike and go to Santa Monica

California is known for its beaches , and no beach is more famous or fun than Venice Beach, also known as muscle beach . Take a towel and a swimsuit because the water is amazing.

Muscle Beach dates back to the 1930s when the Works Progress Administration (WPA) installed exercise equipment immediately south of the Santa Monica Pier

So much like what you imagine in movies . A bit too much of a balnear station but beach is beautiful and population is popular and cool to observe.

So many annoying rules about tables for a place that looks like it hasn’t been decorated since the 80s. But food was delicious and location is great, and servers were friendly after the negotiations

Venice California is different then any other place on this earth. I love the environment here and everything is soo lovely here.
