Make a reservation and do not think twice: this is definitely one of the best restaurants in town . Langoustine for the starter. The other courses you can choose anything: it is going to be good!
Very satisfying meal, a bit rich with quite a few ingredients, all fresh and well assembled. The Icelandic specialty of minke whale , shark and puffin appetizer is not to be missed.
The Deep fried Lobster Maki was delicious and the portion sizes of both fish dishes were really generous. It had a lovely atmosphere and great decor inside, cosy and romantic . We had a great meal!
My favorite starter was the cured goose&smoked beef tongue . During the winter starters range from ISK 2.400-3.390 and main courses ISK 4.280-6.970. Puffin and whale are not always available(seasonal).
favorite restaurant in Reykjavik . Taste, ambience, service is top notch. I had the lamb and pork belly and it blew me away, and I have had many lamb and pork bellies in my life
This restaurant might be the best one of Reykjavik. Order their Eskimojito if you're thirsty: a delicious mojito made with Brennivin (local schnapps ) instead of rum .
Excellent Nordic food, made from fresh ingredients , beautifully presented. Swift, friendly and efficient service . Not cheap , but excellent value for every Krona spent there!
Fantastic seafood ! I had the starter soup . Perhaps the best seafood soup Inhave ever eaten. Just perfect! As the main course I had the catch of the day which was catfish . Excellent and innovative!
I got the catch of the day, this was one of the best dishes that I had this year. Flavor was on the spot, fish was tender. And the combination with the veggies was just amazing. Must go place
If you have adventurous taste buds you can try puffin or mink whale . I tried the smoke puffin and goose appetizer and it was a real treat. I followed that with the smoke plaice and was very impressed.
This is simply amazing. We choose that restaurant for our 2 years anniversary and everything was perfect. From atmosphere to service to dishes. Incredible flavours. Try the slow cooked salmon .
Gourmet restaurant . Delicious food and kind staff . Go for lunch since it's much cheaper than having dinner . Almost half price between 11 and 15.
Nice restaurant in Reykjavík wit's great atmosphere and warm service . Must try the seafood dishes , dessert .
We had the Lobster menu. Ingredients were fresh and well presented. Service was great! Overall, I thought the food was too creamy for me and too many things thrown in together.
One of the best places to eat in Reykjavik. Our meals were very delicious, the starter, the main course and also the dessert . Superb! Strongly recommended. Need reservation !
If you try the fermented shark take the shoots with it. The dish comes very cold, but as soon as you put it in your mouth, you start feeling the strong vapors from the fermentation. It is interesting!
The tasting menu is the most reasonable priced option in my opinion :) everything is lovely here.
if you have some expectations better leave them somewhere safe, cause this joint is sworn to crush them to the moon. this was my first but probably the best 4 hours of my life, defo recommend ????????????????
It costs an Icelandic fortune to eat here, but the food is phenomenal. Everything from interior to lights and service to dishes and lamb to salmon - it is all perfect.
Great food, great service, relaxed but smart restaurant with Icelandic fish (and meats). Pricey , but worth it for a date or just a good meal.
What a great restaurant ! Huge portions , and great service. If you love fish - this place is amazing! Seriously delicious food! Definitely go here!
The catch of the day was really good! Actually everything on the menu looks very tasty, but a little pricy . Very cosy atmosphere and large wine selection .
Everything is amazing. Salmon is out of this world. Flounder is also very delicious. Also enjoyed the puffin/whale dish. Will come back for sure.
The best Icelandic restaurant on our trip. Tasting menu was fabulous and interior deco romantic . The food Quality was stunning and The tastes ingenious
The chicken salad , tuna , lamb and sweet potatoes were delicious! Very cosy and nice. Call for your reservation ! (it’s not as fully booked as the website-reservation-option suggests)
I went all in and took the 6 services menu. I wanted to « taste Iceland » and was not disapointed! The 6th dish was the absolute star: lamb cooked 2 ways with root vegetables . Simply divine.
Very pretty dishes, fresh food , colourful arrangements. Don't leave Reykjavik without a meal here. Careful: 2 services per night. Strict about it.
Food quality is at the very best - fresh ingredients , good combination of flavors and wonderful presentation. Must try when you are in Reykjavik!
Great 4-course menu, good combo of lobster , whale, lamb and lava cake ! Best restaurant on our 8-day vacation (NY+Reykjavik)!
I got the Taste of Iceland Grill, and it was outstanding. Staff were polite and explained each dish when it arrived. Would definitely visit again.
If you read this, you appreciate good enough to ask for Tom. Explanation of the spectacular plates occurs bets with him.
Super nice staff and delicious food! Try catch of the day & barman’s special cocktail .
Any grilled langoustine ! It'll melt in your mouth! ???? The artic char is also great!
The butter was dreamy. I ate the carpaccio and red wine . It's a few doors from Mengi, so perfect for pre-event dining. Very romantic .
Highly recommend! We've tried most of places listed on foursquare (all with rating over 9) and this is our favorite!
Excellent and friendly service . The food combinations were delicious. The pistachio cake was especially good for those with a sweet tooth.
The food is delicious! We ordered the “catch of the day”, a tasty pollock, and it was surprisingly flavorful.
For apps we had the cod it was unreal. For dinner the catch of the day was ocean Perach it was also incredible.
Please, don't eat puffins, they are too cute and no so tasty. Minke whale is pretty good. Totally in love with the waitress , so kind.
Great seafood resturant. You can order the taste of Iceland here and try puffin, mink whale , and other seabird.
Incredible food. Be sure to try the tasting menu . The lamb is awesome
My absolute favorite restaurant in Reykjavik - great food - great service and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended
Had the Grattis Salad and Pan fried cod . Both delicious! Their cappuccinos are also very good!
this place is so good! genuinely had some of the best fish in the world. the salted cod is to die for
The “juicy pasta ” is definitely the best pasta I’ve ever tried!!!!!
The Cod/Scollop (sometimes includes Lobster ) starter course is literally the best thing I’ve ever eaten
The seafood is very fresh and delicious. Salmon was perfectly cooked
Whale meat and puffin meat, good to try but may not suit everyone appetites ????
Wonderfully helpful staff ! Juicy pasta and salmon both were great.
Grill is great, service is very quick, but make a dinner reservation (or go for lunch , same menu but cheaper).
The best restaurant in Iceland at the moment, and has been so for some time. I love the food, the presentation of the food and the friendliness of the staff. - Jensína Böðvarsdóttir
Wonderful meal and excellent service. A must do if you're looking for a classy meal in Reykjavik. - Jenny K
Horse meat steak...sounds crazy but it’s crazy good. Medium rare was prepared perfectly. Icelandic oysters are super small. Not worth it, but I guess it’s something one should try when in iceland. - Wendy
The architecture is one of a kind and you can go to the top for about 8 USD. - Eric Tsai
The shakes are amazing, you can mix flavours. Fries are huge. The staff are cool too! - Toria Wickes
