T2 Security/Passport Control

Outbound T2 LHR security Fast Track can be slow due to not being fully staffed by the Airport . But inbound eGates can sometimes take just seconds from entering Qsystem to exiting from eGates.

They are super strict about liquids and electronics here. Try to be prepared before actually getting in the line because there's nowhere to get organized later.

NB! Don't make the mistake of entering the EU/UK queue when you plan on hitting up the ePassport gates!

Express line on the right for United Gold+ / Star Alliance Gold! So much faster than the normal line

Make sure you put your liquids in a plastic bag our Security will nab you. LoL!

Get early once the queue can be enourmous!

Generally though sadly not always rapid through e gates returning to UK. Outbound security even fast track can be painfully slow but sometimes great and quick.

If you get the new machines they insist your laptop *stays* in your bag.

Beware: extremely strict on liquids . Everything needs to fit in one (1) standard plastic sealable bag; all else will be thrown away!

Extra slow this christmas as they have 2 or 3 lanes out of action for new machine instalation
