The Chieftain Irish Pub & Restaurant

A good fish-n-chip is hard to find. Batter is light and tasty, slightly on the soggy side and the cod broke apart into pieces. I will continue my mission to find the greatest fish n chips in SF.

Very convenient to Moscone West. Nice people, intimate space (low capacity). Good selection of soccer matches on several TVs . Fish and chips was awesome (ask for curry on the side for with the fries ).

Best Fish and Chips in the Bay Area. Skip the rest of the menu. Get there early to beat the game crowd. I had mine with cold glass of Magners Pear Cider on ice.

Great selection of draft beer and whiskey . Potato soup and brown bread hit the spot.

Fantastic Irish and Scotch Whisk(e)y selection.

You have to get the Irish potatoes nachos with the Lamb chili . So, so good. Also say hi to Dylan!

With a proper rugby and football scene in place, if you're visiting SF during the 6 Nations Rugby Championship, this pub will show the early morning matches. The kitchen opens at halftime.

Great vibe with live music and copious amounts of beer and greasy food. Simply amazing.

Nice place, loud and crowdy though, so dont go there if u want a quiet evening. The smoked turky with avocado and pear chutney was really good.

Best turkey burger I have had, hands down and really super friendly service ! David at the bar was awesome.

Not close to the best Irish bar in SF. The bar staff are not the friendliest and there are so many people sitting at the bar it's hard to get served.

Awesome waitresses here at the Chief. Jenny, Emma, and Fiona ate wonderful, and a big part of why I and my buds always come back.

Shepherd’s Pie was very tasty.
