Breathtaking
前底に人工池 ・前面にガラスを配した外観が特徴的な谷口吉生設計による宝物館。周囲を緑に囲まれ、自然と人工構造物 が調和した館は平成11年度の建築 学会賞を受賞。梅 や桜が咲く早春～春の季節は特に美しい。 照明を落とした静寂な展示 室には法隆寺献納宝物が展示 されているが、各展示 物に対する情報は少ないため、IT機器 (web・アプリ)で補完 しつつ鑑賞 するのが望ましい。
iPhone（iPad）ユーザーに朗報！「法隆寺宝物館30分ナビ」アプリが2011年1月から DL開始。http://itunes.apple.com/jp/app/id414815700?mt=8 これを携帯しながら館内を鑑賞 すると、より理解が深まります。但し、音声ガイド なので【イヤホン必須】です。館内展示 はシンプルで洗練されている分、情報が少ない。IT機器 で補完 するのは非常 にスマートな試み。
東京国立博物館 内にある、法隆寺から皇室に献納され300点あまりの「 献納宝物」を展示 。館内は暗く独特の雰囲気を醸し出していますが、展示 物の説明等は非常 に少ないです。
開：9時半～17：00、4～12月の特別展開催中の金曜日は20：００まで、4～9月の土・日曜、祝日は18：00まで／休：月曜（祝日の場合は翌日、ＧＷ、お盆は開館）／料：600円
なんか雰囲気が周りと違いますね。建物もいい感じです。
