Pioneer Supermarket

Not sure why the rating is so low! This store is definitely dated in appearance but Pioneer has a huge selection and better prices than trendier grocery stores in the hood.

Best prices for meat. Good for familiar national name brand products (aka not Trader Giotto or Joe-San). I don't go here for produce, not its forte.

An idiosyncratic selection of items that complements the neighborhood well , and they now take Apple Pay.

Low quality produce&meat. they are missing a lot of standard items like couscous and pita bread . Unfriendly staff . Beer selection is good& well priced. I only go in a pinch bc so close 2 home. Avoid
